NATALIA MALIVANI

Ninety-Eight - March 3rd - Female - Vampire - Supporting Character - A Mystery?
APPEARANCE
Natalia is attractive, no two ways about it. Anyone interested in women would be hard pressed not to find her appealing. She's the right height--five foot seven--with a large bust, fair skin, and long black hair. Her eyes vary from brown if she's recently fed to red if she hasn't, and after years of practice she's learned to dress her best.
PERSONALITY
Natalia is best described as singleminded. After a lifetimes worth of torture, her only focus was on getting out, and when she discovered she was pregnant, that focus settled on them. She loves her children. She wants them to be happy and safe, to never know the suffering she endured. For her, this counts in both aspects: She doesn't want them to suffer, but she also doesn't want to know what she went through. Natalia spoke very little of her life before the twins were born, and doesn't plan to either. Even so, she's far from perfect. Things have slipped out. They've found bits of the truth. But every bit of knowledge they gained just made her clam up that much tighter, to tell them less and less. In Natalia's opinion, the less they know, the happier they'll be.
Natalia doesn't talk about herself. She's happy to talk about others, but herself? Not a topic for discussion. She's evasive when asked direct questions, and getting an answer out of her is like pulling teeth. Even her job--something that almost anyone should know--isn't spoke about. Her children know she works long nights and often comes back tired, but what she's actually doing remains unclear.
Outside of her children, Natalia could easily be said to have nothing. She has neighbors who she socializes with, but she doesn't have any close friends. She's shown no interest in dating (despite clear interest from others), and if she isn't working, she's focusing on her children.
There's no denying that Natalia is, in her own way, prejudiced against demons. She has her reasons (which most would agree are very good), and her exact level of prejudice tends to vary. Goetic demons barely bother her. Hell demons who have only ever known life on earth are acceptable. Demons from hell? She avoids them with prejudice. She doesn't want to be around them, and while part of this is protecting herself and her children, part of this is simply just aversion.
Despite having literally been to hell and back, Natalia still has a sliver of her old faith. She still believes in god, in a strange and twisted way, but shows effectively no outward sign of it.

POWERS
Blessing of Asmodeus: While degraded by years on the surface without being maintained, Natalia is still subject to the blessing she was granted before she was returned to the earth. This has two primary effects. The first is that Natalia, an undead type vampire, is capable of bearing children, fully fertile despite being dead. The second is that Natalia would flag as a demon to anyone who can sense demons, although those with more powerful skills might instead read her as a half-demon.
SPECIES ABILITIES
Natalia is a vampire, changed at the moment of her death. She is eternally in her late twenties, the height of her life, and is perpetually healthy. She can heal most flesh wounds in a few minutes, and is immune to illness, poison, or other toxins. For larger injuries, like the removal of limbs, Natalia needs fresh blood and around an hour. Realistically speaking, as long as her heart is intact, she can recover from it, although she still suffers the same as a human.
Natalia has abilities beyond that of a human. She can lift up to two tons, jump twenty feet in the air, and is both supernaturally fast and agile. She has retractable fangs and claws, and has enhanced senses, letting her see perfectly in the night.
However, many of the standard vampiric weaknesses still plague her. Sunlight causes her pain if she is not wearing her anti-sunlight charm, which she wears almost religiously. Holy items burn her flesh if they touch it, but her own faith--as twisted as it's become--prevents them from dampening her powers.
Natalia must drink blood each day to maintain her strength. If she goes twenty four hours without one, her abilities drop by half.

BIOGRAPHY
Natalia was not an ancient vampire. Not by a long shot. She lived a normal life, as a normal human, living in a small town in America. She went to church, and probably would have continued on as happy as could be if she hadn't been bitten by a rogue vampire. He abandoned her immediately, and Natalia was forced to find the nearest supernaturally friendly settlement herself. Desperate for blood and without any of the resources that Manta Carlos would one day offer, Natalia lacked skills to make a life for herself. With no other options, she turned to selling her body for bloodand money, filled with self hatred and struggling with her lack of options.
Being killed by the vampire hunter--while in the act of sex--doomed her to Asmodeus's hell, a low blow for someone who had been born and raised a catholic. She suffered for decades, and eventually she simply could suffer no more. It was either succumb and go mad, or fight back--so he did. She used every bit of skill her job had given her to seduce a demon, and from there seduced another demon, slowly climbing herself into better positions. Sleeping with a demon was repulsive to her, but far better than the alternative, and when Asmodeus took interest in her it was both a blessing and a curse.
She slept with him, but she hated him just the same. There was always the possibility of more, of finally escaping, but asking might have pushed too far. The risk of asking and being thrown back to the masses was too great.
Until she got pregnant. The moment she got pregnant, she knew she couldn't stay. Giving birth to babies in Asmodeus's hell? There was no way she'd tolerate that, so she convinced Asmodeus--certainly not out of the warmth of his heart--to let her return to earth with a promise of returning.
She settled on Manta Carlos, and with the help of the government made her preparations, pleading for sanctuary. With every anti-demon charm they had handy, the help of several angels, and even more help on top, she managed to severe the link between herself and her 'husband'. Then, she 'died', never giving birth to her children.
Of course, she hadn't died. She took up a new name, gave birth, and raised her children. She hid the truth from them, and would have preferred they never found out. She still hates demons, and struggles when exposed to them, and while she loves her children, old regrets die hard.
