This forest wasn't home, she was able to tell that much as wandered through it. She'd been there for days, surviving, hiding from the strangers who'd occasionally wander in. This place wasn't home and the young fae wasn't sure what to do.

So she'd wander, today heading west, she'd crouch besides a spring, lifting her mask up briefly to lift some water to her mouth. She was walking upwind, they tried to do that when they could, to hide their scent, unfortunately it also made picking up the scent of this behind her more difficult.

The forest. It was currently truly the only place Lynn felt safe and comfortable in at the moment. In fact she has been sleeping out here more recently...more nights than she should have. It was probably dangerous to do but Lynn is Lynn. The dangers of the forest tended to be Lynn's friends anyway and if they weren't.....they eventually will be.
Plus Lynn felt better not wearing their charm out in the forest rather than in public for reasons.

Lynn was pretty much sleeping peacefully in a large tree that her and Jone claimed for as their nest up until Jone woke her up by all that pecking. Letting out a groan, she rubbed at her eyes. "And good morning to you too Jone. What was so urgent that you needed me to wake up? Hm?"

Jone flapped his one good wing at Lynn's face and then turned to face the lake just near their nest. "Something is near the water, we shall go take a look." Jone chirped.

"It's probably a deer or something Jone but if it bothers you so much...sure." So Lynn and Jone left their nest and made their way down to the water.

She'd quickly run water over her face, quickly dropping her mask back into place once she was satisfied. Then she heard the cracks of a twig, turning she'd hop back a few paces to look at the newly arrived stranger.

The young fae squinted at Lynn, the young sheep like being feeling nervous but also curious. She'd tilt her head, shifting her hooves a bit as she looked Lynn over. Fae varied when it came to physical appearance but Lynn definitely looked fae.

Corvian stopped to the right a bit, her glowing eyes never leaving the Lynn. She wasn't sure what to do, it was her first real interaction with someone here. A part of her said she should run, the other said she was lonely and needed to interact with people.

"That's a Fae. In our territory, get rid of them." Squawked Jone. Jone reaaaaally didn't like the fact there was another Fae here and just assumed they meant trouble.

Lynn just smiled, gave this stranger the friendliest smile she could ever have. "Hello, are you a lost little lamb?" Lynn asked as they took a few steps fowards very slowly. They were avoiding trying to seem as any kind of threat to this mysterious stranger.

They took a small step back as Lynn stepped forward, tilting her head a little as she watched the other girl. The younger fae was feeling a mixture of fear and curiosity at this oddly friendly fae.

She'd look at Lynn a moment, contemplating what to do. She could run, she could shift to her wolf form to try to use a bit of intimidation.

Instead she simply nodded in answer to Lynn's question. She was lost, didn't know where she was.

So they were dealing with a lost fae of unknown origin. Greaaaat. Lynn just continued to smile at the lamb as Jone climbed his wau to sit proudly on top of Lynn's head and puff out his little bird chest. He was clearly trying to intimidate the lamb here. Jone was definitely glaring as much as a bird could.

Lynn ignored Jone's antics for now and held out of their taloned hands to the lamb fae...person thing. They seemed sapient enough.

"Hello, I am Lynn! Do you need help leaving the forest?" And completely far away from here.

About now Corvian was very much missing her voice, communication going forward was going to be difficult. She'd glance between Lynn and the angry bird, this was indeed a strange situation.

Glancing down at the moist river bed she stood on, she'd reach down and pick up a stick. Glancing up at them she'd quickly write "Corvian" into it, gesturing to herself.

She was taking a risk but if Lynn meant harm they'd have likely attacked her by now.

She'd then follow up by writing a question. "Where are we?"

She couldn't talk? No..no this was fine, super fine. Was she deaf then? No....she wouldn't have reacted to the sound earlier. Lynn was curious but at the same time didn't currently care about why she wasn't speaking. Jone insisted she was just being a rude person which could also be true.

"Corvian, what a lovely name." Lynn kept up the nice act since it was working so well. They didn't want to come off as a threat or anything and just scare Corvian off. Well scaring her off might just be easier....

Lynn smiled at the thought; then again he could just lead Corvian deeper into the forest and just leave them ther- Actually that is a great idea. "You are in the forest it is pretty big and easy to get lost in!" Lynn paused and giggled to themselves.

"Unless you mean where you are then you are on a lovely island full of all kind of wonderful and magical things. And this island is caaaaalled...." Jone started making weird suggestions on what to call the island...all which were super basic.
So no Lynn, don't lie, not yet anyways.
"Manta Carlos!"

Her nose would twitch under her mask, her head tilting as she listened to the other fae speak. Manta Carlos, she'd heard of it from her father, the odd haven that accepted all supernatural beings. This was potentially a good thing, assuming the other fae was speaking truth.

She'd squint at them a bit, adjusting the small amount of clothing she wore, sniffing the air a bit. Her eyes looking to the angry bird and back to Lynn, her mind trying to decide what to do in this situation.

"Manta Carlos sounds good, forest is good," she'd write in the sand and looking back to them. Her hooves would shift in place a bit, her eyes darting between the bird and the fae. "Forest your home?"

Jone pecked Lynn on the head a few times. It was annoying but fiiiiine, Lynn just kept on smiling that by now it probably started looking a bit...weird.

"I don't have a ho-" Lynn stopped themselves from finishing that sentence. "Yes. Forest is home." Which was a statement that was truer than most. Being out in the nature like this was better than being anywhere else right now anyways.

That wasn't really important right now. Jone wanted to know more about this mysterious stranger and so did Lynn. They both also wanted to get rid of Corvian so...
"Anyway! If you are lost I can lead you out the forest."
