Cardinal was humming to herself, messing on her phone as she waited on a tree branch. Today was gonna be a rather interesting day, that's for sure. Her and Ava were finally going to have that sparing match that kept talking about over and over. But now it's here, that day.
But not only that, Cardinal had brought up in a text two important things. The first important thing was the when and where. After Ava's classes and on Cardinal's day off. Near the forest as well, out in the open. But the part of the text was the more important part. Loser has to wear a maid costume for a week. She was paying for both of them, cause she kind of wanted one anyway. More importantly, she made sure that Ava's was a bright neon colour.
So, that was basically it. Cardinal was at the site like 10 minutes early, did some stretching and basic warm ups. With her was 3 weapon sets. One was a sword and shield, and the other was a metal bow staff. The final was two tonfas. No matter what, she was ready, assuming all 3 weapons didn't instantly melt in the kiwi's lava hair.

Ava suspected she was really going to enjoy this spar. And not just enjoy, need. A lot of shit had been happening recently, with first Ava's mom dying, then her falling in the middle of a huge cluster of relatives, Ava's dad turning out to be dead and then her mom's body being found. And now Ava and Titus were planning to visit Canada for a couple of days, so she could lay her mother finally into rest. Ava was sure spending months in a lake was horrendous for a fire dragon, so she wanted to set her free.
