appearance
Morrigan has a somewhat boyish figure, with broad shoulders for a girl, a small bust, and longish limbs. Her skin is pale with heavy freckling around her face and shoulders, and her eyes are a light smoky grey coloration. Morrigan's most striking feature however is her short, wild pink hair.
Her style is generally very modern, with a decidedly witchy slant. Wide brimmed hats, not always pointy. Stripes. Alternating bright colors with blacks and greys. Her jeans are generally distressed in some way and her jewelry typically features crows or triple moon motifs.
She does have a decidedly girly girl streak as well however, fawning over and enjoying frilly, extremely feminine clothing as well.

personality
Morrigan is a cheerful girl who has a long streak of melancholy running throughout her. Having only recently come out of a high stress living environment, she sometimes tries too hard to come across as peppy and preppy. Other times she can slip back into her darker, brooding ways and seem to come across as a tryhard pastel goth.
Her depression, caused by years of feeling isolated from even her own family and community, manifests from time to time, primarily when she thinks people see her as fake.
She falls in love too easily, but has a nagging fear of rejection and so prefers to keep her feelings bottled up inside rather than risk embarrassing herself or losing friends (as close friends are usually the first she ends up falling for).
She has a bit of a rebellious streak, built up over years of feeling like what she could and could not be was not up to her. She tends to only buck authority in small ways, for the fear of getting in serious trouble tends to outweigh her desire to 'stick it to the Man.'

abilities
Active
Spare the Dying
Morrigan can bring back people from the brink of death, or even past the Black Gates themselves if the death occurred no more than ten minutes before; both of which heals wounds and cures sickness. Doing so draws the Black Mist of Death into herself, which eventually brings misfortune around her. Bringing someone back from the dead will almost certainly bring calamity in her near future. The misfortune can never kill Morrigan, no matter how severe.
Breathe the Black Mist
Morrigan can choose to expel the Black Mist of Death from inside her body, blowing it out of her mouth like a fell wind. Doing so reduces the misfortune that she has to deal with, but also causes life around her to be snuffed out. The fog can spread out in an open area, losing potency as it spreads. A light fog can only kill small plants, like grass. Larger concentrations can kill larger plants and small animals. The Mist she expels cannot harm Morrigan.
Even if the Mist is not potent enough to kill, it can choke the lungs and burn the eyes like smoke. At higher concentrations it can make people sick, growing weak in the limbs and having difficulty breathing and seeing. In high enough concentrations, say, if all of the Mist were breathed down a person's throat, they would most certainly die.
Passive
Keeper of the Black Gates
Morrigan is followed by a spirit that very few can see. A being of ethereal shadow, this woman floats near Morrigan at all times. She has no name and speaks to no one except her charge. She tells Morrigan things, giving her insight into situations and offering her clues to help her in difficult scenarios.
For example, if given two paths and only one is correct, the Keeper will point Morrigan towards the path that most aligns with her current goals. If the choice is less obvious, she will offer advice and insight to the girl in order to help her work past her indecision. She seems to do her best to push Morrigan towards her goals, but not necessarily keep her safe or give her an easy path.
The Keeper can be seen by Reapers and Psychopomps, the Undead, and those who can see spirits. She does not interact with them, but gives every creature who can see her a sense of forboding.
Mist Sight
Morrigan is capable of seeing the Black Mist of Death that lingers around every person. The closer to dying they are the thicker the Mist that surrounds them, so this sight allows her to get a rough estimate as to how close to death someone is.
Weakness
Common Magic Items
Nullification Bracelet
This nullification bracelet naturally disables all of a characters active abilities, and any outwardly projecting passive abilities (such as auras). This bracelet can be taken on and off at will.

biography
Morrigan was born an infant boy in a deeply disconnected religious cult somewhere in Ireland. At very young age, she began seeing a being she called her Keeper. She also insisted that she was a girl and asked that she be called Morrigan instead of her birth name. The cult's leader saw her potential when he witnessed her bring a nearly dead bird back to life.
Her life in the cult, Morrigan would say, was good. She was given freedoms that other kids her age weren't. Allowed to use the internet. Dye her hair. Even allowed to get hormone therapy when she wanted to start transitioning. But her life was also restricted. She wasn't allowed to play with the other children, or even see other adults most of the time. The only up close interaction she got was with the cult leader, who called her his little hand of God.
She performed miracles for the faithful. Healing the sick and injured. But as she got older, she started being told to punish the wicked with the black fog of God's wrath. She linged for companionship however, and started sneaking out to meet up with some of the kids her age in the compound.
There she met a girl, Isabelle, with whom she shared her first kiss. They grew close as time went on, until one night tragedy struck. While sneaking back to the bunkhouse where Isabelle slept, a night guard caught the girls and they ran. Thinking them Intruders, the man shot and killed Isabelle. The Black Fog that surrounded her girlfriend was choking and thick, and Morrigan could for once see the Black Gates themselves. She did what she could and brought Isabelle back from the dead.
Morrigan's miracle was celebrated throughout the compound, though she was kept under strict lockdown while it was decided what would be done with her and Isabelle. Days later, calamity struck. The very Earth itself shook with a mighty crack. An earthquake where there had no right to be one. It didn't take long for Scouts to arrive to the strange phenomena, finding a crying teenage girl alone, locked in her room as everyone had fled or died.
