She frowned. In this kind of neighbourhood, Elisa doubted being able to find her keys. But it wasn't a reason to stop looking, Alice needed her keys.

When they reached the place, Elisa smiled back at Alice, then begun to search the nearby area. after a bit of searching, she felt her hand graze something metal. wrapping her hand around it, and it jungled as she picked it up. "Hey, you said a bow, right, Alice?"

Hiatus
Cosette began searching for her keys as well, but she wasn't trusting any of her senses when she was this exhausted. Cosette could barely stand up straight, let alone bend down and looks for small pieces of metal.

Cosette turned around when Elisa asked her question, already having a hopeful, almost desperate expression.
"Yes. Did you find them? Please do tell me you found them."

Holding up the keys, she gently shook them, making them jingle even louder. "I hope I did. Hate to see another person lose their keys."

Smiling, Elisa handed them to Alice. "If they are, then good job, you just found your keys."

Hiatus
The moment Cosette saw the keys she recognized them as hers. She rushed over to Elisa and received the keys, repeating "Thank you" over and over. She let a few tears slip, and they burned on her chilled cheeks.

Cosette couldn't help herself and hugged Elisa tightly.
"You're my saviour, I really can't thank you enough. Thank you Elisa. Thank you."

"Woah," Elisa said as she was pulled into a hug. She didn't expect Alice to pull her into a hug, but then again, she didn't know how important it was that the Keys were found.

"It's okay Alice, just call it a favour I'll take back later." Elisa smiled, putting a hand on the girls head. Maybe she would call in that favour one day, but she doubted it.

Cosette gasped a bit and pulled away quickly when she realized she had hugged a stranger, who could hate someone breaking their personal bubble. Thankfully Elisa didn't seem too mad, even putting a hand on Cosette's head.
"I'm sorry."
Cosette apologized and bowed her head a bit in embarrassment. She didn't comment on returning the favour. Naturally she wanted to, but Cosette suspected she returned the favour best by never seeing Elisa again.

Jingling the keys a little Cosette smiled slightly at Elisa.
"Thank you once more, I hope you'll get home safely."
With that Cosette turned around to open her front door to finally get inside and warmed up before her master arrived.

"Thanks, Alice. I will." Elisa smiled, waving until the girl closed her door behind herself.

After that, she put her hands in her pockets and began to walk away. Alice seemed like a nice person. Why did she have to live in this part of town?
