Kagami walked over to the brook her hair swaying in the breeze, she had reacently cut her hair into a bob, but it didn't really matter, if after a while she decided she didn't like it her shapshifter powers would allow her to return to hair to it's normal, long length.
She reached the brook and sat down pulling off her converse. She dipped her feet in the water and smiled, even in the cold weather she loved the feel of running water on her feet. She sighed and layed back on the soil watching the clouds move by lazily.
Lucky devils, haven't a care in the world besides soaking up the sun... she said with a sigh and closed her eyes against the harsh rays of sunlight.

Diligo ran after his fox cub Lorne. The cub wasn't really too fast, so Diligo had to run in awkward manner as to not catch up instantly, but it was a somewhat interesting chase all the same.

"Crazy little pseudo-feline, you can't just run wherever!" Diligo called towards the cub. Not that Lorne could understand. He was a fox. Foxes didn't know English. Perhaps solely for this reason Lorne, hearing his owner's voice and thinking it was food, turned back his head just in time to trot directly into a nearby brook.

Diligo laughed at first, but quickly realized he shouldn't be. Can foxes swim? Diligo found himself thinking heavily to himself. In an instant, Diligo decided to stay on the safe side and leaped into the water after his furry equivalent of a child.

Kagami heard a boy yell after an animal but didn't look up, then she felt the icy water splash onto her body and she shot straight up shivering.
What the heck?!
She looked in the brook to see a boy wrangling with a fox cub. She looked from the boy to the fox to the boy again. He was soaked. She couldn't help but laugh. It was the funniest thing she'd seen in a long time!

"Crazed animal, might I remind you not to eat my stuff? Yes I can, yet you wouldn't listen, because your a fox.. But of course I don't think you even have a language of your own, so English is as good as anything else."

At this point Diligo realized an unfamiliar sound; something he had never heard in his archangel years or human years, but had been subjected to quite frequently since his appearance at the Starlight Academy. Laughter. Diligo shockingly looked over to see a girl (or young woman, it was hard for Diligo to tell) staring at him and laughing lightheartedly. Diligo, shocked, tried to find a good excuse for these actions, but found he had nothing. He instead simply walked up to the girl.

"Hello their." He said as politely as he could. "I thought I was the only one who came to these areas on my own."

Kagami pulled her feet out of the brook and sat cross legged looking at the young man.
okay, so now that you've soaked me do I get to know your name? she asked
A particularly strong blew and she shivered. The water was freezing, and now so was she!

Diligo wasn't effected by the winds as much as an average person would be, but he could tell this girl here was. He was in half a mind to lend her his coat shawl thing, but realized quickly it also was soaked.

"On this realm, I'm known as Diligo" the boy said. He offered out his hand is a friendly sort of gesture.

Kagami smiled at the boy and took his hand shaking it with vigor. Perhaps more vigor than was needed...
Nice tah meet ya Diligo. I'm Kagami. You can call me Kag if you like. she said with a smiled and stood up brushing off her pants. She looked over at the little fox that opened up it's mouth in a yawn.
Awww...he's cuute! What's his name?

Diligo allowed Kagami to take the handshake over. Handshakes were a bit new to the demigod, he hadn't expected such things to vary between people.

"This guy? His name's Lorne, quite an interesting one, I must say. Can be a bit on the obnoxious side from time to time, but I love him anyway." Diligo responded. He watched Lorne circle around Kagami, examining and making sure she wouldn't try to eat him or sacrifice him or something.

Kagami picked the little fox up, he let out a squeak of imputince but quickly gave up on his wriggling. She held him up eye level and then morphed her ears into fox ears and smiled at him.
She let out a small howl and he licked her face in understanding.
She morphed her ears back to normal and set him back down on the ground where he sat down next to her thigh.
I like him, he's got guts. she said with a laugh and rubbed his head between his ears.

"Well, Sagari and I have been calling him Lorne. Yes, a bit redundant, I understand, but at this point it's hard to imagine him any other way." Diligo said. He brushed his hair away from his eyes and kneeled down to better make eye contact with Kagami. The water soaked the front of his pants, but Diligo hardly minded. Water was just another element to him. It hardly mattered to him exactly what his surroundings were. Perhaps for this reason Diligo only now realized the beauty of his surroundings.

"What a fascinating place. Do many others know of it?" He asked Kagami. He felt amost certain she had been here more than once before.
