Name: Mirella Melania Cadaverini
Age: 30
Birthday: October 13th
Gender: Female
Category: Teacher
Class: Teaches Poetry, English, Creative Writing

Appearance Description:

Some have mistaken the woman for being a ghost, and it's not hard to see why. She has pale skin that nears the color white. Her hair is incredibly long and jet black. Her black eyes barely emote much emotion. If this was Halloween, she could very easily pull off the ghost woman look by just wearing a white dress and having her hair cover her face. Helllooo Kayako Saeki! It's hard to distinguish her heritage based on her looks, but she does seem to be European at least. Melania stands at a whooping 5'11'', rather tall for a woman. She's very thin with long limbs. Her womanly curves are rather subtle and balanced.

Her choice of clothing varies, but she gives off a gothic impression thanks to her wardrobe being filled with nothing but black and MAYBE red. Her dresses tend to have fishnet or similar fabric. Lace is mixed into her outfits in a dark rather than necessarily girly way. She is no stranger to fingerless gloves or combat boots. Ripped clothing only makes up a tiny fraction of her clothes, but she can pull it off rather well if she chose to. Her makeup tends to be focused on enhancing her black eyes and then some black lipstick or dark-tinted lip gloss. When at work, she wears business suits and heels. All of her suits include blazers and pleated pants, and she has blouses both in long sleeve and short sleeve variants. Her leather jackets are for casual settings.

Personality Description: Mirella has a cool demeanor that's almost constantly up. She doesn't let much faze her. She has the ability to make rational decisions without needing to factor in emotion. She has all the makings of a proper strategist. She doesn't talk much, but she isn't shy; she just prefers to listen over rambling. Her barrier is tough to break; she is protected by the hardness of steel. Despite this, she isn't necessarily rude, just blunt. She'd rather get to the point and hates liars. She actually can't lie; whenever she lies, her fingers twitch uncontrollably. Her focused approach on communicating has the tendency to unintentionally hurt others' feelings because her empathy process is damaged. This isn't to say she doesn't have feelings; she represses them out of concern for others' well-being. That's what makes her anger truly terrifying; to get her angry is to have done something powerful enough to override her repression. Prepared to be mentally tortured if you piss her off. Beneath the cold, barely emoting facade is a cool but caring teacher that wants the best for her students and has a passion for writing.

Powers: Mirella is a natural telepath that has had her powers enhanced with forced experimentation. The consequence is that her powers run the risk of hurting herself and many others should it be unleashed at its full potential, but she has had years of training to control that, hence why she's considered stable enough to be a teacher. This also causes her emotions to be somewhat downplayed, but that's not for this section. What is for this section is the particular set of abilities she possesses thanks to her powers.

Melania's main power is the ability to create constructs and illusions with her mental powers. Anything she creates isn't real but certainly feels real. This goes from something as simple as chairs to something as complex as a large torture room. Size and complexity greatly increases the mental energy she requires and the mental strain it puts on her. Making an energy ball the size of a baseball is easy. Morphing an entire room to be a person's worst fear as a method of torture is incredibly straining. Complexity also affects the amount. She can give everyone in class a baseball, but trapping the entire class in aforementioned room would more than likely fry her brain. For this reason, her ideal combat situation is a one-on-one fight rather than a group.

Her lesser power is telekinesis. Being that her mind is so powerful, she can influence her environment by the simple act of lifting stuff with her mind. This includes making herself levitate. Lifting anything bigger than a person requires a lot of concentration. Overlapping telekinesis and constructs practically doubles the strain for both tasks, so multitasking them is not only ill-advised but dangerous for her health.

Biography: Mirella was born into a world of crime coated with a sweet layer of wealth. Her family was a prevalent mafia family that had a load of money from both legal and illegal investments. She was the youngest child of three; both of her older siblings were male. It was unlikely that she would ever have to take up the mantle of the Cadaverini bloodline. She did not have to worry about being the head; she just had to worry about living comfortably. Even so, she was never oblivious to what her family was doing. It was but for her own sake that she did not outwardly reject or rebel against their ways. Thus life went on.

For a number of years, things were relatively peaceful. She was not exposed to any crimes. Her father and oldest brother handled all the affairs. She was a pretty little girl with light colored skin and jet black hair. Her black eyes were warm and cheerful. That was when conflict arose. Another mafia family started a terrible feud over the drug market when she was 10 years old. It was during her middle school career that she would see her parents and relatives get increasingly tense. She even witnessed an event where her and her brother woke up early only to see the first born desperately trying to ship a dead body off in order to avoid getting in trouble. Thus chaos ensued.

Mirella continued to go on with her normal life. Even so, she knew something that her family members did not. She was a telepath. She had the ability to use telekinesis. She could lift things with her mind with enough concentration. She did not explore her further abilities; it was because of this that her mind powers were weak. She wanted to hide her talents for the sake of not being called a freak or causing further trouble for her family. This also left her open to the possibility of her losing control of her powers. The one time this happened was just outside school. Some classmates were bullying her friend over an embarrassing incident that occurred in school earlier that day. Witnessing this happen, she tried to get them to stop via words. When one of them put his hands on her friend as the friend sobbed, she retaliated with her powers. The mental energy lashed out in the form of an illusion that turned the bully's hands into scaly snakes. The snake hands puked out more snakes that circled him. The bully freaked out and ran as his friends chased after him to find out what was wrong with him. Then her thirteenth birthday occurred. Thus a party was held in a fancy hotel in her honor.

It was a fun party. Both her friends and family were in attendance. Even those involved in the feud were taking a break from business to celebrate young Mirella's birthday. It was a happy night filled with smiles and laughter. Music played as some people danced. The birthday girl stood by happily as they danced. A karaoke session occurred that she was persuaded into joining. She sang her heart out to her favorite rock songs. Her mother organized such a wonderful event for her. After some time, it was time to have cake. A large purple, lavender, and black birthday cake was brought out. Black and white candles sat at the top of the cake. They were all lit. A harmonious choir of her party guests' various singing voices sang the birthday song. Mirella was standing front and center with the cake in front of her. She prepared to make a wish and blow out the candles.

Just as she thought of a wish and took a deep breath, the entire place exploded.

What had happened was that fire bombs were planted within the room. The rival mafia was trying to axe off the head and thought a meeting was taking place within the room. They were timed to go off at a specific time. They found out about the location and supposed meeting through leaked yet partially wrong information. That wrong information was enough to kill several people and horrifically maim others. The only one that didn't get killed or damaged was Mirella. Just as it happened, her mind panicked and threw out a barrier that protected her from harm. The barrier guarded her, but it also trapped her as well. She was within a bubble as she watched every single party guest suffer from the flames. Her eyes widen in horror as she watched every moment. She could do nothing to help. After some time, she broke down and began to cry while curled up in a ball. Her vision was impaired by her tears and the fire. Sirens sounded outside as what appeared to be a firefighter came over to the girl. He stared incredulously before offering a hand. The barrier slowly went down as she allowed herself to be taken out of the place.

Thus she ended up in a dark laboratory instead of a hospital.

Truth of the matter is a private laboratory for investigating the strange and abnormal twisted the mafia tale in order to create an opportunity for them to steal the telepath away. Her incident in public acquired some witnesses in the wrong places. For years, she was experimented on and kept inside a cold room all by herself. They put her under uncomfortable machinery and ran tests on her brain. They put her through many mind games and tricks that broke the poor teenager. She was mentally tortured so that they could have their readings and perhaps even boost her powers. While she had potential, it was not trained at all thanks to her living a fairly normal life up until then. They worked to enhance her and make her a powerful weapon and force to be reckoned with. Thus she was the telepathic lab rat of the facility.

Until she broke out of her confinements.

A pale ghost girl walked out of a laboratory building covered in blood. A red trail followed behind her. Bodies of security and scientists alike were spiraled out on the ground. Her eyes were blacker than the darkest of nights; scalpels and knives floated around to cut open her tormentors. Chairs, tables, and other furniture were tossed aside. Some were killed by the sheer force of her telekinesis. The head scientist was given special treatment. Yes, very special treatment indeed. For ordering the horrible experiments on her, ignoring her cries of pain, and treating her like an ignorant child he was tortured with visions of skeletons in lab coats cutting his body open and operating on him while he was alive and awake. His horrific screams as he could feel his organs being ripped open filled the building. It was enough to induce a fatal heart attack. Thus Mirella could wander freely.

She came across knowledge of an island filled with people like her. She was a troubled teenager; at the age of 16, she was immediately entered into the secondary school on Manta Carlos in fear of her harming the other students. She took normal classes, but power control classes were made mandatory in her case for her entire school career. They took many strides to both keep her in check and reform her into a functioning member of society; her experience had destroyed her and made her resort to violent means. It took some time, but she was able to calm down and learn various things. One subject she took a liking to was English; she enjoyed being able to lose herself within books and also being able to imagine various worlds. Literature soothed her soul. Thus she eventually graduated and was able to get into the regular college and acquire a degree.

She decided that she needed to become an English teacher in Starlight Academy. She wanted to help others not only in English but also teach the value of keeping one's powers in check and that they were not alone. She wanted to welcome others with open arms. Thus she applied for a job and was hired.
