Minx at 6'5" is only average height for her kind, although taller than a human woman. She is also incredibly slender, nearly androgynous, weighing only 152lbs. She almost looks like an elf, with her pointy ears and thin features, emphasised by the short cut of her hair. Her skin is a deep chocolate brown, with a smooth tone, except for a patch of pale skin starting from just under her nose, going around her mouth, covering her chin and extending in a stripe to about the base of her throat. When she smiles, you can see she has fangs and pointy teeth, instead of more human teeth. Her hair is dark brown, almost black, and the same texture as a mink's fur. A stripe of this fur, about an inch wide, extends from the top of her spine all the way down until it separates into a tail. Her tail somehow manages to be bushy and skinny at the same time. It is about three feet long. Although her hands are mostly human, they are tipped with claws and lightly webbed. Her legs end in mink's feet, which at first glance make it seem like she's wearing furry clawed socks.

Minx usually doesn't wear many clothes. She finds them quite confining, and she has no modesty taboo. But, for the sake of the weather and their slight protection, she will wear loose-fitting dresses. She doesn't have much preference for style or colour and just takes whatever's available, as long as it's comfortable. She will leave as much skin bare as possible, at least when it's warmer.

Mink form - When Minx transforms into a mink, she looks very much like .. a mink, a European mink to be precise. A long, slender, flexible, rodent. Like all minks, she has a bushy tail and webbed paws. Her pelt is sleek, waterproof, and brown. She has a white patch above her upper lip and one below her lower lip that continues down to form ventral markings. She is about 1'2" long and weighs about 1lb, 5oz.

Personality Description:

Minx has no concept of normal human behaviour. She enjoys playing with fuzzy woodland animals, and while a nice game of catch or chew the squirrel might seem perfectly innocent, it tends to be frowned upon. In spite of this, Minx is quite good-humoured. She likes playing jokes on people, laughing with people, tricking people. She also likes music, any kind of music, or even things that most people don't consider music, such as someone stepping on a porcupine, or a rabbit's neck snapping.

She is not human - she is a predator. Humanity is a foreign concept to her and her morality is entirely her own. She simply doesn't care if others perceive her acts as good or evil. All she cares about is that people (or creatures) amuse her or feed her. She does not have a lot of emotional depth, usually just being excited and mischevious, hungry, cuddly, or bored. She does not have much of a concept of personal property, although she can be very protective of her things. She may even get aggressive if someone touches something she considers hers. She can be bribed with food and enjoys being petted. She likes meat, especially birds and rodents, and she likes candy and ketchup. She enjoys hunting her prey, but she also enjoys being given free food. She probably wouldn't try to eat an obviously sentient humanoid unless she was drunk, though. She is attracted to men and women and thinks sex is fun. She doesn't quite understand the concept of romance but does have a sort of loyalty to people that take care of her.

Minx also has an interesting quirk, which is actually part of her nature, she cannot tell the truth.

Species Abilities:

Shapeshifter:
Minx's other form is a European Mink. She can shape-shift into this form and back again at any time, in mere seconds. While in animal form, Minx still possesses the exact same mind as she does in her normal form, and all her advantages/disadvantages still apply. She cannot speak in this form, only make noises. She isn't actually a mink, she is just wearing that animal’s shape. This is her only alternate form, and she can't get any others. Each shift tires Minx a little. She could do two full shifts per day (from the first form to second form and back), but after that she'd be mentally exhausted. She can maintain mink form for four hours before forcibly switching back. That forced switch would knock her unconscious.

Telekinesis:
She can move anything up to around 5 pounds total, within sight. She can throw smaller objects fairly easily, buy it requires some concentration to keep things floating. The bigger/heavier the object, the more effort it takes to move it. More objects take more concentration, and their total weight combined still cannot exceed five pounds. Using telekinesis also drains her energy.

Fae Charm:
Fae are magically attractive. There is something about Minx that gets under the skin. A sort of fascination, but not neccessarily a physical beauty. It's something that makes it hard to want to destroy her, whether you love her or hate her. And it doesn't matter what you are, as long as you are sentient. Her attractiveness doesn't force people to like her or stop people from realizing she's untrustworthy. It simply makes her interesting to them. People who are naturally resistant to charm or illusion would not be affected, neither would people with magical protection from it.

Semi-Immortal:
Minx's brand of fae age at the same rate as humans, physically and emotionally, until they reach about 50. Then their physical aging stops. She's immortal, as in she cannot die of natural causes/old age, but she can be killed. She does have to eat and drink, but she is immune to natural poisons. Minx is not invulnerable or immune to pain. She can be killed with weapons or magic or the elements. Magic-based or metal-based poison would work on her. Weapons tipped with poison would still hurt her, it's just the poison that wouldn't.

Minkness:
Like the mink, Minx is a natural swimmer, in both forms. She also has better than average hearing. Her teeth are sharp, making her bite a bit more painful than a human bite. Although untrained, she has a predator's instinct and knows how to use her body to her advantage, but she fights better in mink form. Although Minx is a strong swimmer, she is not supernaturally so. She can still drown and cannot breathe underwater. Like any exercise, extended bouts of swimming will tire her. Anything thicker than leather would protect against her bite, and her teeth aren't very long. Her instinct will not save her against a trained enemy or against an enemy with weapons. It only gives her an advantage against someone else who doesn't know how to fight.

Iron Aversion:
Fae can sense iron when it is near and are extremely uncomfortable in its presence. Simply being near iron weakens their abilities. When Minx makes physical contact with any iron item, whether it is a weapon or a simple tool, it causes her skin to burn and blister quite painfully. Any wounds that she receives from an iron weapon are excruciatingly painful and aggravated. These wounds fester, burn, and will never heal without the aid of magic.

Pathological Liar:
Due to a peculiarity of her species of Fae, Minx cannot tell the truth. There are many ways to lie and she can use them all, but she cannot by word or writing deliberately be honest. Even if she wanted to. She can tell half-truths and exaggerations. She could even use leading questions to approach honesty if she wished.

Biography:

After a particularly violent birth, Minx entered the fae world. This world coincides with other worlds but is not part of them. It has various exit points, depending on which world someone wishes to travel to, most commonly the human world. Her father raised her haphazardly in this world. Being the same species as her, he couldn't tell the truth. The family bond is not very strong for paedopseudologoi, so once she was old enough to walk and talk, he left her to her own devices. More family-oriented fae gave her little tips on how to survive, but she mostly learned for herself.

She was about ten when she finally got bored of Fae world. She quickly got used to the more common portals and became very familiar with the human world. She discovered how much fun it was to tease people. How easy it was to get them lost after they caught you stealing their chickens. Stealing, because of its challenge, was much more entertaining than the easy food of fae world. Her life was just one long amusement. Back and forth between fae and human worlds, leaving a trail of mischief behind.

But eventually, she tired of that. Normal humans were becoming a little bland, and fae world held nothing new. At the age of 18, she came into contact with another fae who told her of an Island filled with all sorts of supernatural folk. A strange place, with many varied creatures. Not simply the dumb animals of the human world, but animals that could talk, dragons, Gods and fae-like creatures. She hoped it would provide entertainment and not be just as uninteresting as the humans had become.

Additional Information:

Paedopseudologoi - Literally "children of the pseudologoi"

The pseudologoi were the personification of lies and falsehoods, offspring of Eris.

This branch of fae is distantly descended from them.

All of the paedopseudologoi live in a fae world, with other fae, in a sort of connected alternate dimension. They can vary in size and colouring, but are usually quite tall and slender, with pointed ears. They usually have features similar to their animal form as well, but are still mostly humanoid. All paedopseudologoi have one animal form that they can transform into, although they tend to favour rodents or other small mammals, such as foxes and cats. They all take on some traits of their animal form as well.

All paedopseudologoi, as well as most other fae in their dimension have iron aversion, fae charm, semi-immortality, poison immunity, and some degree of telekinesis. Paedopseudologoi tend to be on the weak end of telekinetic power, though. The pathological lying is specific to them, but they all have it as well.

They reproduce magically and only have one parent of the opposite sex, male or female. But they can enjoy sexual activities just for fun. Most paedopseudologoi are tricksters and hedonists. They tend not to be family-oriented, and even those that are tend to adopt themselves into other families

Minx usually carries around a stuffed ostrich that was a gift. The toy ostrich is almost two feet tall.
