Gods she was bored, with her phone being taken away for the day because her stupid foster dad thought that she was spending too much time online and not with "real" people. In the break between classes, it looked like she was going find someone to go bother just to pass the time. Letting out an annoyed huff, she marches down out from the halls and out in the school courtyard. There were not that many people in this part the school courtyard but her eyes managed to lock in on one kid nearby: Riley Keegan. Or was it Andrasta? Well whatever that girl decided to call herself by, Aedes knew who she was going to pass the time with.

"Well if it isn't the walking talking, human bomb. Whats up with you? You look like your about ready to blow... oh wait, you always look like your ready to blow up." greeted Aedes as she waltz right up Riley, disrupting whatever it was the girl was doing at that moment.

Andrasta rarely looked like she was in a good mood. When relaxed, she looked like she was frowning, angry. It didn't help that pointing this out usually irritated her.

But today, she was actually in a bad mood. One of the teachers had made a joke at her expense, about something she said about her past lives. It really rubbed her the wrong way, but she was sure that if she said anything about it they'd get her in trouble. She was sure at least half the teachers here hated her, and she hated them having this much control over her.

And now Aedes was here. Aedes was the worst, and Andrasta didn't want to spend any more time talking to her than she had to. "What do you want?"

Oh she looked pissed! Good, maybe she could provoke some reaction out of her.

"Oh? What I want? I just want to know what is getting your panties into knot is all. Lose a fight? Get in trouble with the teachers again? Got caught doing vandalism? Well what is your great big fuck up for today? You know... aside from existing." pestered Aedes as walks over to the other side of Andrasta, wearing a devilish smirk as she awaits her answer.

Andrasta knew it was just a throwaway insult. A sort of lashing out, a 'fuck you' for no particular reason. And yet, the idea that her entire existence was a fuck-up was something she had been genuinely worried about at times. The thought that maybe she shouldn't exist, because it would be better for everyone if she didn't.

And then Aedes just hits her with that out of nowhere. Existing was her great big fuck up. Andrasta's fists clenched. Aedes had her full attention, now.

"I didn't fuck up anything, Aedes," she growled. "And even if I did, why would I tell you?"

It was a rhetorical question, but Andrasta knew on some level that she'd fucked up. Because Aedes would answer it. Even though Andrasta was walking away, off towards a lesser-used hallway, it would be just like Aedes to keep following, keep saying infuriating shit.

Aedes smile grew to devilish proportions as she continued to pursue Andrasta. She could practically feel her blood boiling and wanted to see what it was going to take for Andrasta to lose her shit.

“Hee hee… we both know that is lie. You are always doing something to get yourself into trouble with the school. Surprise they just don’t lock you up at the inlets and be done with you. Like what are you even trying to prove anyway. That you’re the biggest baddest bitch around? You’re not even 5 feet tall and about as thin as toothpick. You try to look punk but you look some poor kid whose mother has rummage dumpers for clothing scraps.” Pestered Aedes as she forces herself right next to Andrasta as they together walk down the empty hallway.

“And why would you tell me? Well maybe you actually did something badass for once but… if you really don’t have anything tell then I’ll just have to assume that you got into fight over cookie again or something.” Spoke up Aedes looking so smug and self assured.

Andrasta was going to hurt herself gritting her teeth like this, at this rate. She kept walking, hoping against hope that the pest would buzz off to go suck someone else's life away. Eventually she turned around and blew up on Aedes.

Not literally, though. Andrasta couldn't decide if this was a good or a bad thing.

"So, what!? You think you're better than me because I was in Juvie? At least my mom loved me enough to find stuff in the dumpster for me. She didn't just try to eat me alive like some shitty people who aren't a million miles away. "

And maybe Nasci had the right idea with trying to eat Aedes, Andrasta thought to herself. She didn't say it out loud, it felt too mean. But she was thinking it. And she was almost starting to believe it, too.

Aedes looked shook for a moment before she boiled over with anger at Andrasta's words. She could not let Andrastra get away with mentioning her mother so candidly.

"I don't think I'm better than you. I KNOW that I am better than you. I mean, hello... you are just the school delinquent while I'm school cheerleader and straight A student. Like any good student, I did my homework."

After her rebuke an evil grin creeps up on Aedes face, already taking delight in what she has to say next. She had long caught wind of rumors and pieced down parts of Andrastra's past to be used just for this singular occasion remind this cunt she of what she was.

"I pieced together that you are that kid they found from that crazy cult. I mean, how many other dumbasses do I know who can makes headlines like trying to blow up a building and scouts who rescue you? Your mom... your dad, they loved you no more than my than my own mother and that bitch tried to kill me. I mean, your parents were either really irresponsible or just plain scumbags allow their child wander off to child be used as weapon. But then... thats all you ever been, a weapon meant to used... or locked away and left useless." sneered the pale demoness, holding her head up high in triumph thinking that she had her beat in this spar of words.

"Shut up!" Andrasta's knuckles collided with Aedes's cheek. She had a surprisingly strong right hook for a girl her size, but it wasn't anything supernatural.

She had been thinking some of the same things Aedes said for a while, in her darkest moments. Aedes had touched on thoughts Andrasta had and didn't even want to talk to her friends about. It was a deep cut, and it drew water.

"I'm not gonna let you get off on making me cry!" Her gritted teeth held back a sob. She blinked the hot tears out of her eyes. Soon they would start flowing down her cheeks. Aedes did this to her, that insect. She didn't get to feel powerful just because she could make her cry.

While bringing Andrasta to tears was just the reaction that Aedes was waiting for, she was unable to savor the moment as Andrasta's stunning blow rocked the mosquito girl flat on the floor.

"ACKh!" yelped Aedes as she falls on her ass. As she wiped her lip she saw a smear of crimson on her hand and froze.

It took her a moment for her to process that she was punched... in the face. She was so used to saying shit and getting away with it she thought herself untouchable. But in this very moment, she was too gripped by panic to try to even think about gloating over the fact that Andrasta was in tears already.

"Y-you... y-you hit me?" stammered Aedes, still in shock from the punch, caressing her cheek to numb the soreness. As she struggled to get back on her two feet she then screamed at Andrasta "Y-you fucking hit me!"

Andrasta couldn't manage to say much either. She stared at Aedes, and she let out long, ugly sobs.

For a moment, in Andrasta's head, Aedes was right. She was just a broken, useless, discarded weapon. Not a god, not even a person, even lower than that. A tool, and not even a useful one. She was broken and she belonged in the trash, because she wasn't meant for anything other than destroying, and nobody needed that. She would just be miserable and purposeless forever, until she died. Maybe she would go back in Juvie after punching Aedes. Maybe they wouldn't let her leave this time.

Her fists balled up. If Aedes got closer to her again, she was swinging. Not that she could aim her punches so well through the tears.
