"I don't think that would be too much for a problem," Michi responded, rather confidently despite having no experience in the field at all. Magic was a new venture for her altogether. But if she could perform an ancient magic ritual with her friends (who were all equally uneducated in the art of it), then she could probably handle learning magic from the bottom up. All she needed was a guide. "It'd be really helpful but... I'd appreciate if you could at least instruct me on what to do. I don't know anything about magic, and I would really be honored if someone would guide me along my learning." The librarian Michi had spoken to warned her about the magic she wanted to get into, so maybe it was better she had someone to ask. Before she ended up in darker waters. "So is that a yes?"

Michi cracked a smile. If Adelaida puts it that way, maybe it wouldn't be that hard to get a grasp of things. If she was told she was just supposed to "feel the earth" or something along that line, she would have lost it. "Well, I'm better at memorizing things than how I look, that wouldn't be an issue, " she said rather confidently. "As much as I want to start early, if it would be harder to break things down for a beginner, I wouldn't mind the wait at all." She took a moment to think. "So uh. Do we. Have to do some pact thing for this, or is that just fantasy stuff too?"

"Ah, right, soulless.." Michi mumbled, caught by a hint of embarrassment for forgetting such a detail. She supposed pacts and contracts were also part of magic Adelaida couldn't access. All the girl could do was just nod. Michi breathed in and exhaled slowly. "Well, unfortunately, we don't have that route so I have to study harder then, right?" Michi reached her hand out for a handshake, "Um, since we can't do magic contracts and all that... can we shake on it or something?"

Michi let out an awkward chuckle, withdrawing her hand to herself. Well, master-student titles or no, Michi considered this a formal agreement either way. She could probably get away with quietly calling her "teacher" from inside her head so she could get into it. Adelaida didn't have to know. The teen jumped at the contact, not expecting the suddenness or the force of it -- she expected a light pat. At Adelaida's assurance, Michi tried to calm herself, her shoulders relaxing with her. "Well, there's probably no other way but up at this point," she said, giving the college girl a wry smile.
