Magic was very slowly beginning to fade... at least on Earth, and there may be a time down the road ... that it may not be as reliable as now.

"Well, my father, Rafael, ... he can be very démodé... old-fashioned, traditional, at times," Celeste mused as she struggled for the English equivalent.
"He very much values respect and good manners,¨she explained as she looked at Stefan.
¨He also is very big on ... how do I say this... He a smidge bigotted about non-magical lines mixing with ours,¨she said, her tone apologetic, though she knew Stefan had nothing to worry about.
