Mallory leaned back on the bench holding her book above her. It was nice to be caught up on her work. It left lots on time to pursue hobbies.

While it was bright outside, she still loved being out in the sun, so while she was dressed rather thickly, with gloves, a wide brim hat and sunglasses, she also had a small parasol. Even so, she had to be careful, and the small amount of shade meant she couldn't move too much.

Sighing, Mallory turned the page on her book. Oh, what it meant to enjoy yourself.

Shiro had taken to going on walks and occasionally runs through the park, not out of any desire to become faster, just something to do, perhaps their cat instincts becoming more prominent. Today she was on a run, her arms and legs pumping as she circled the park, her sneakers were perhaps not made specifically for running but they served that purpose well enough.

As she ran she spotted someone, a girl her age, not one she recognized either, slowing to a stop, she'd give the girl a friendly smile. "Heyo," she'd say, standing and stretching, "haven't seen you around before, I'm Shiro."

They'd step just a bit closer, "whatcha reading?" she'd ask, in her usual friendly and playful voice, though recently it's been a bit more down since she started taking up her more moody goth persona.

"Hey," Mallory said, lapsing into her child-like personality. She liked to play with people, to see how long it'd be before they notice she wasn't a real kid, and was in fact much older. "Mallory. I've been here for a while, now."

She held up her book, revealing its cover to be the first book in Game of Thrones. "Oh, you know, just a bit of light reading."

Smiling, Mallory looked up at the Girl that spoke to her. This one had to actually look her age, unlike herself. "So Shiro, what brings you here today?"

"Oh just a bit of exercise, wanted to see who I bumped into too," she'd chuckle just bit, "only been here a few months so I'm still kinda wowed by the kind of people you get to see here." Dragons, werwolves, there was just so much variety here.

They'd chuckle a little, "for example, today I ran into a cute girl who likes to read," she'd say, flirting just a little with her. "So I'd say it's been a very successful trip to the park."

She'd hum a bit, "reading is fun, been a bit to bust to do much of it lately though." The cat shifter would lean back just a bit, "whatcha reading," she wrote some, a hobby of hers, one she greatly enjoyed, mostly short stories that she very rarely showed anyone.

"Oh my, stop it." She said, putting her hand to her cheek and blushing just a little bit. While she was far too young for her, Mallory did like the compliment. "You're not too bad yourself."

Closing her book, Mallory looked up at Shiro. "Well, Now that you mention it, reading can be a bit tiring." Patting the spot next to her, she hissed a little as an exposed part of her arm was hit with the sunlight. "Ngh. There's a spot here if you want to sit down." She finished, rubbing her burnt arm.

She'd grin playfully, "afraid I can't, talking to a pretty girl is too fun," she'd continue, finishing her cool off stretches, and smile. "Thank you Mallory," she'd say, her face flushing a little at the compliment, she was goth, lots of dark colors which probably made her look paler than she actually was, but she was a lovely girl.

Taking the offered she'd gently scoot close to look at the burn, "you ok?" she'd lift her new friend's arm up just a bit, making sure it stayed in the shadows and looked the burn over. "Vampire?" she'd ask, looking to her, "does it hurt bad? I can run to a shop, get you some cream or something to help it."

She was clueless. Mallory's childlike form did make it hard to tell, but she never really expected someone to fall for it this hard.

"Yeah, I'm a Vampire, down to the Fair skin." She said, nodding, watching her arm be inspected. "I'll be fine, I just need to leave it for a bit."

"So what about you? What sort of mystical manner are you?" Mallory asked lightheartedly.
