Masquerade Ball

All Islanders are free to join the festivities of the Annual Masquerade Ball located at Starlight Academy's ballroom!

This event is by far the most looked forward to event of all Samhain (known to some as Halloween). Everyone is encouraged to dress their gaudiest and wear elegant masks for a night of mystery, romance, and magic. Will you find your true love? Or will you enjoy all the delightful food the party has to offer?

During the Masquerade, the ballroom is decorated in Autumn colors as a tribute to the holiday it celebrates. Rather than Americanised Halloween decorations, the room is adorned with handmade Celtic wreaths. Crows, scented candles, and uncarved pumpkins are a major motif.

Join the festivities in the official event thread here, or make a new thread of your own. Be sure to label it with "Event" and "Open", and tag it with "masquerade ball." In the spirit of the event, anonymous posting will be allowed to keep the air of mystery.

ICC Mini Profiles

For the Canon ICC Masquerade Event, we are utilizing a set up of Mini-profiles to give other players a snapshot of the characters they are interacting with. This is so people aren't constantly having to describe what their character is wearing.

PM your mini profiles to Kadakism, and they will be compiled in a thread so they can be linked to individually.

For the Masquerade ICC Event, you must link to your mini-profile in the email/url field. Please link to the specific post in the thread that corresponds to your character.

For the PM, please use this format:

[B]Pseudonym:[/B] the chosen pseudonym for your character for the Masquerade. Get creative here~

Pseudonym: Bonnie Hyde

Description: Bonnie wears a slim wine red dress with a black gossamer shawl draped over her shoulders, a black silk veil instead of a mask and a wide brimmed hat of the same color as her dress. The shawl and veil are covered in an unsettling number of hand painted white eyes. Her bright red lipstick is barely visible beneath the veil, and is most often twisted into a moving smirk.
