Everto smiled. Not his usual smirk, or a malicous amusement brough about someone else's misfortune, but a true smile. It was something he was unaccustomed to doing, and what resulted was something like a mixture of a smirk, a malicous smile and a true smile.
Looking away again, he asked. "Why didn't you tell her it was me?"

Everto couldn't quite understand what she'd said. He couldn't remember having a sister, and he couldn't imagine wht it would be like to have one. So he remained silent.

"What's wrong?"Marine asked. When she realized what she did she went ,the tiniest thing you could get to of, pale.

"Nothing," said Everto, a little too quickly. "Just trying to figure out what you said."

Everto decided to change the subject, and find out if she really was ok.
"Are you sure you sure you're okay?" he asked, eyes showing a little concern, but not as much as before.

Everto slumped back in his chair. He was exhausted. Belive it or not, it took a lot of energy to do what he'd done to Marine, then bring her up here. And be worried about her. It was all almost too much for Everto.
