March Virus- Out of Class

Libby still didn't want to be in school, so first class she had without Zeno, she completely and literally ran out of the academy.

While it was something she wanted to do for a long time, today she just had to. While getting changed for Gym, she had seen little red patches on her skin and was cold to the touch. She wasn't worried by this. Who would when they had Volleyball to play?

Anyway, By the time the class had ended, the patches of skin, which were quite large, one covering her entire left cheek, had changed into something much more noticeable. Lustrous Red metal. Similar to that of her Sword form. It was like she was that guy from the movie, Exterminator or something like that.

Thinking the school was cursed (she didn't watch the news), she vowed to never return (unless Zeno told her to) and just left.

Now, she was sitting under a tree in the Park. Leaning back she rubbed her temples, trying to ease her headache and try not to think about how oily her skin was. Or the pimples.

Suddenly feeling the urge to cough, she does so, immediately regretting it, crying out in pain for her sore throat.

"Owwww," She said, her voice breaking as she tried to hold back tears. It all just hurt so much.

She shouldn't have been out here, considering what she heard on the news, but she was already infected. She hated the fact that she went to the party, only to end up infecting her whole family. In fact, she should have been at home, making sure her children were taken care of and her wife was safe. It was the least she could do after coming home to infect them all with a virus.

It was too late to go back now. Not like Béatrice was going to go back in. She needed to move around. To fly. Her house felt too... cramped. With everyone else having the same absurd amount of energy she had—which she felt she had the worst of—she needed to get away for a bit. While out she decided it was best to bring something back to the family she helped screw over. No harm in buying food if everyone was already infected, right? She wasn't feeling well enough to hunt for food herself, and the Meis were experiencing the same issues her family had too, so she couldn't rely on them for hunting too. It seemed like all the oricenta on the islands were having the same symptoms. The only exceptions Béatrice noticed were Remi, Arjean, Anrong, and Junchi, but they only had minor additions to their illness.

A great big feast would help make everyone feel better. She'd buy fish, steak, vegetables, beef, fruit, and whatever else she found at the store. At the moment, she was in the mood for stir-fry noodles. Actually, she was in the mood for everything, and every second it felt like she was changing her mind on what she actually wanted. This whole situation felt like her normal mood swings times one-thousand. Laying down and dying sounded great.

Flying sounded just as great too. She set aside the desire to go grocery shopping, and went to the park instead to fly in the sky, twirling and falling before flying up in an elegant swoop to avoid hitting the ground in a gory mess. Her fun didn't last long however, because after a few minutes she found herself on the ground having a coughing fit, with the added bonus of her mild headache becoming worse.

"Dammit. I don't fucking deserve this. I go out to make some friends, got to meet Arjean's new friend, and see the wonders of this fucking island, and I get a virus, just to infect my family. Bullshit." She wanted to cry, scream, something to let out her anger. Instead she ended up kicking a tree's stump repeatedly and mumbling cuss words, varying in loudness. It wasn't until she started to calm down and stop did she realize there was a teenage girl sitting right under the tree.

Having a coughing fit under the tree, she didn't hear the screaming of the woman behind her, but she definitely felt the Tree being hit. Rotating around the tree, she looked at Her. "Nice hair." She quietly to the tall winged female. She was sick,

Rotating her face so the metal parts (A symptom of the disease) weren't reflecting light into the other woman 's eyes, she pretended to be happy, though here eyes were a bit red, plastering a smile on her face. "Hiya, I'm Libby." Grinning, she put a hand forward for a handshake, forgetting the disease for a moment.

The girl introduced herself as Libby, seemingly not caring about Béatrice's previous tantrum. Probably because Libby seemed to be suffering pretty badly from the virus, coughing roughly with red eyes to further confirm her illness..

Yet it was hard to notice all the other symptoms Libby had, because once Bee was complimented on her hair she fell into giggles as her face turned a light violet and her freckles turned white. Béatrice never understood why she reacted like this when complimented, since her parent was fairly reserved when they were complimented, if not a bit egotistical about it. Often she tried to cover her giggles with her hair, but instead she hid her mouth a bit with her hand as she let her other hand shake Libby's.

"S-Sorry. I just... get really flustered by compliments. Thank you. I'm Béatrice Afolabi-Soie. Nice to meet you." Introducing herself helped her calm down a bit, though her handshake was still a bit unsteady. “It seems like we are both having bad symptoms of the virus… but should you not be at school, or at the very least at home?”

"Is your face okay?" Libby was blunt, to say the least.

Hearing Beatrice's Explanation, she was quite embarrassed. "Oh, I'm sorry! I'm so so sorry!" Her own face went red, then was scrunched up as she coughed.

Taking a moment to calm down, she then answered." I don't like school, so I ran out!" She was quite pleased with herself to say that.

"It's... okay..." Béatrice wasn't too pleased with how blunt Libby was, but felt a bit better knowing she was regretful for her mistake. It was hard to speak and listen to her because of her head, and it felt like she needed to move around constantly or else she would explode.

Hearing Libby say that she skipped school so casually piqued Béatrice's interests. Sometimes she forgot that kids got bored with school and would just ditch it. Bee herself never had that problem from always loving school at such a young age. She even conducted her own scientific research before reaching her pre-teens, something she was proud to find she passed down to Arjean, and something she wanted to help Remi with. At the very least Remi never had issues with running off from school because she didn't like it.

Deciding that sitting herself down may help calm her, she changed into her cevitaur form and laid down next to Libby. "Well, that is understandable in this case. Leaving school open when everyone is getting hit with a virus? I find it idiotic. Keeping all these sick children together in one area to spread the sickness even more will only make it get stronger, not disappear. Like, fuck! Remi could be getting even sicker, and I can't be there at her school to make sure she's okay. Not that you would understand, since I doubt you have kids... hopefully. Maybe younger siblings though. Anyways, I digress. Kids should be at home being taken care of, not stressing out over their homework even more and experiencing a new sickness that has yet to be cure. Just... ugh... I'm so disgusted."

By the end of her rant Béatrice's face was flushing a bright violet as the clenched and un-clenched her hands. Her breathing turned heavy and deep as her body shook with pure anger. Under her breath she cursed, mostly repeating the word fuck and bullshit without realizing it.
