Day of the Woods: Celebrated on the first weekend of March, this is an island-only holiday encouraging islanders to spend time out in the woods of Manta Carlos. Hiking is a popular event on this holiday, and is the only day of the year that some of the more remote hiking trails are open to the public.

Vernal Equinox: Celebrated around March 20th, this holiday marks one of two points in the year when there's an equal amount of day and night. Several cultures celebrate the change, with Nowruz and Ostara being particularly popular on the island. Some celebrations are secular, while many have religious or cultural meanings.

Student Council Elections: Held twice a year, once during March and once during September, the Student Council Elections run for the middle two weeks during each of those months. Students campaign, give speeches, and host fundraisers and parties all in a bid to join the student council.

Year of the Gods: This month is a bit more intense: a competition held from March 24-30. Be on the lookout for more information as we move forward in March!
