Jackal needed a job. He wasn't terribly picky about what kind of job it was, but doing something at the Green Hat seemed like a good enough idea. He liked Shay well enough, and Fitz seemed like a good guy, even if it was literally impossible for Jackal to tell for sure. He couldn't figure out what was going on with the guy, but as far as his powers were concerned, Fitz wasn't a thing. He didn't have any aura at all, and if Jackal so much as brushed him, all his powers went off like a switch had been flipped.
To say that Jackal was curious was to vastly understate the state of affairs.
Jackal showed up a few hours after their conversation, dressed fairly professionally (for him) and ready to talk. The place seemed pretty laid back, and he'd intentionally picked a slow period to avoid causing too much trouble as he wound his way in, scanning the room for Fitz.
