Appearance Description: His most notable feature is probably the fact he looks younger than he is, and chances are this is something that will stick with him through his entire life. Malik is 5'5” with darker skin, freckles, and dreadlocks. He's very fit in spite of his age. He's usually seen wearing whatever happens to be functional and comfortable for him. He's almost never seen without a hoodie.
He shifts into a ten foot tall golden ape. When in this form he sports powerful front limbs and smaller weaker hind limbs. His tail is short, and he sports a pair of horns as well as a thick mane.
Personality Description: He's generally quiet, Malik is still rather new to what someone might consider a normal quiet life. He can usually be seen keeping his distance away from groups of people, studying them and their interactions. This isn't to say he's unfriendly, just wary and still unsure of how to interact in a normal capacity. This is something he is trying to improve. His perceptiveness is one of his better qualities. Malik has a low tolerance for nonsense and would rather not beat around the bush with things.
Species Abilities:
Were-monkey- Malik can change himself into a large monkey at will. In this form he can run up to 50 mph, lift around four tons, and sports steel rending claws. His reflexes are enough that he can easily dodge a bullet from at least 25 feet away
Enhanced smell- his only notably enhanced sense is his sense of smell. Malik is able to pick up and sift through scents from up to a quarter mile away. Naturally particularly strong odors can be somewhat debilitating to him.
Enhanced reflexes: In his human form, Malik can still retains reflexes he sports in his ape form.
Hardy: Malik can heal from minor wounds within a few minutes. Broken bones if properly set can take up to a week to fully heal. He cannot regenerate lost limbs, however they can regain functionality if reattached and allowed to heal over several weeks. Fatal injuries such as a shot to the heart of decapitation are as fatal to him as they would be for most. In his ape form, heavier grade firearms are recommended.
Weaknesses
Water- Water interestingly enough saps his physical strength by roughly three quarters if he becomes drenched. He becomes sluggish and lethargic, as if he's been sedated. On that same note, Malik cannot swim at all he will sink like a rock. Of course he can drink it, however he tends to take dry showers to avoid contact.
Malik is still also susceptible to mind altering magic, mundane weaponry, and magic in general.
Biography: He is one of four survivors of a series of rather horrific experiments being performed on children in a lab to create super soldiers. Malik was forcibly turned into the were beast that people know him to be. He spent his time being thoroughly educated and trained in the art of warfare for some unknown organization. His lessons were harsh, but quickly learned. It was either adapt or die. Somewhere along the line, scouts from Manta Carlos caught wind of this organization and shut it down. In the process they managed to rescue him as well as three other survivors.
One year later, after graduating his remedial and life skills classes Malik has been placed in the 9[sup]th[/sup] grade classes at Starlight Academy.
Additional Information: He loves fruit and meat equally. He tends to simply eat the entire fruit rather than peeling or slicing it regardless of what kind it is.
