Sinaloa bounced on her toes, standing infront of the manta carlos police department. She was having trouble finding the courage to go inside, and people were starting to look at her funny. But she was prepared for this. She had planned what to say with her therapist. It was written down on the paper in her hand. It was now or never and this was something that had to be done.

Sinaloa rushed in to the police office with her head down, trying to avoid making eyecontact. When the officer behind the desk called her over, she shoved the paper in her hands towards them without a word, visibly trembling as her anxiety started getting the better of her.

I would like to see the police person Angelo Genoveze. My name is Tiny. It is not an urgent matter.

As soon as the paper had been taken from her hands, Sinaloa swiveled on her heels and did an awkward sort of march to sit on a chair to wait. Odd and certainly suspicious, Tiny regretted ever planning this meeting. She had already messed up. Who knew what else she would do wrong? What if Angelo never wanted to talk to her anyways?

People noticed when someone stood outside the police station. It simply wasn't done. Most people were more than happy to get the hell away from the station as fast as humanly possible. The headquarters had damn good security, and someone at the camera was watching as Sinaloa walked back and forth.

The note was alarming--almost like a bank robbery--but the man handling the front desk squinted and recognized the name easily enough. This was hardly the first time Angelo's been requested, but there was certainly a good deal of squinting as someone went back and checked to make sure Angelo was there.

He was, but it still took a solid ten minutes for Angelo to show up, popping open the door, glancing around, getting pointed towards Sinaloa, and completely failing to recognize them.

"You needed me?" Angelo said, approaching the person. They looked afraid, which... generally wasn't a good thing in a police station.

Sinaloa spun the power bracelet around her wrist, making sure it was still on every thirty seconds. As time wore on she seemed to calm down a little, but the anxiety was ever present. Everyone was watching her, like they expected her to start running or pull out a gun. But she couldn't do that. She had to do this for her own sake.

When Angelo finally came in, Sinaloa was beginning to think she'd picked a day that Angelo wasn't in. His voice startled her into almost falling off of the chair, arms reeling to stop her descent and regain balance. She stood awkwardly infront of Angelo, looking anywhere but at the man right infront of her. She hadn't expected to get this far. She didn't think he'd be willing to see her. What was she supposed to do next? Sinaloa couldn't remember what she was supposed to do next, stumbling through a lot of "I"s "ah"s and "um"s before settling on dropping to her knees on the floor. Using a very small voice she managed to get out:

"I'm really sorry."

Oh. Oh dear. Angelo looked on in horror as the figure in front of him dropped to their knees, apologizing for... something. Angelo truthfully had no idea what they were apologizing for.

He didn't recognize them. They had changed a lot, and it wasn't like--almost a year on--Angelo had them in the forefront of his mind.

Which left him in a really alarmed state. There was just someone on the floor in front of him, on their knees, asking for forgiveness for something he had no idea about.

"Get up," Angelo said quickly, glancing around and noticing just how much attention they were getting. "You don't - I don't even know what you're apologizing for, and this kind of public display..." Angelo was definitely embarrassed, no two ways about it.

Tiny awkardly fumbled back onto her feet. She didn't know what she'd been expecting. She thought if her name had been on the paper, she wouldn't have had to explain herself. She didn't know why she expected him to remember her.

"I'm sorry. I'm really sorry. Y-you have work to do and I shouldn't have interrupted it's really not all that important."

Tiny hiccuped and rubbed at her face, trying to scrub away the feeling of shame.

"You probably have bigger things to worry about and I'm causing a scene, aren't i?"

Sinaloa took a deep, ragged breath, forcing herself to look at Angelo's face. She had to be strong. She had to stick to the script. Enough of Angelo's time had been wasted, there was no need to drag it on, so she spoke as fast as she could, words slurring together.

"Lastyear you arrested me for a bankroby but itwasn't a real threat cause iwasn't tryigto actually rob them because ijust didn't know what I was doing Ijust wanted to be not-free because my head isnhealthy and I was a problem and a lot of other things and youhadto deal with that and i was reallyrude and iwasted your time and i'mreallyreallyreallysorry."

Sinaloa finished speaking and held her breath, poised as if she was going to run the first chance she had.

The word vomit was not particularly clear, but at least one word--which should have been two words--stood out: Bank Robbery. There sure as hell weren't a lot of those on Manta Carlos, and there certainly weren't a lot by people of that approximate stature.

"Tiny?" Angelo said, his eyebrows so high they were mostly hidden by his hair. He certainly hadn't recognized her, and even when the other officer had said their name--Sinaloa--he hadn't recognized it. Tiny was Tiny to him. "You look... different."

That was saying something.

"We should - uh, there's a sitting room inside, where people aren't staring," Angelo said. He'd barely processed anything they'd said, but he felt a very firm desire to not do whatever it was they were doing in public.

Apologizing, he guessed?

Sinaloa squirmed as Angelo began to recognize her. She tugged the power bracelet down her wrist until it caught on her hand, too small to just slide off. She kept awkwardly pulling on it, partially cutting off the circulation to that hand.

[sub]"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to cause a scene."[/sub]

Sinaloa took an awkward look around the room to see that everyone had been either watching them, or pretending to not watch them. Tiny flipped her hood up to hide her face, shrinking into herself and hiding. That didn't make the people go away, but she couldn't see them anymore so they couldn't bother her... Right?

"Maybe I should just go. I... I don't want to be causing problems for you."

Tiny--Sinaloa?--was already starting to get ready to leave, and Angelo hesitated, trying to get a better grasp of the situation to avoid making things worse. Tiny had always been pretty hard to handle emotionally, and while she seemed better--she wasn't flailing around on the floor--she still wasn't exactly normal.

"Well," Angelo said, choosing his words carefully, "if you just wanted to say that, then yeah. But you're not causing a problem, and if you wanna sit down and talk, you can come into the back and we can sit down in one of the sitting rooms and catch up?"

He was leaving the offer on the table, but he wasn't going to make her take it.

Tiny shifted back and forth on her feet. Angelo didn't hate her, clearly, but people were still staring. It was her fault for making a scene, and he just wanted to calm things down.

"I'm sorry. Yes, that.. That would be nice."

Sinaloa took a deep, shaky breath to calm herself. Her therapist told her this was a bad idea. Sinaloa grasped onto Angelo's sleeve.

"Lead the way, officer?"

Angelo could have done without the sleeve grabbing. Tiny had definitely changed, but they were still... well, young. They weren't actually that much younger than Angelo himself, but they acted younger. Like a small child. He knew trauma did that to people--and everyone reacted differently--but it was still ever so slightly alarming to come back to after a year.

"Sure," Angelo said, gesturing towards the door. "Just come along this way."

He didn't take her to an interrogation room. Instead he guided her to one of the sitting rooms that were most often used for families waiting for news. Plush couches, a vending machine in the corner, a coffee table. Like the waiting room at a doctors office, complete with magazines.

Angelo did his best to try and coax Tiny into sitting before settling in himself, grabbing a seat across from them so he'd be looking at her.

"Did you just get out, then?" Angelo asked. Probably not the best possible first question, but it was the first thing that popped into his head.
