She/her
Phaedra stormed into the room slamming the door behind her. She let out a frustrated yell and threw herself onto her hammock with a practiced accuracy. Riley had burned her good. She was used to his apathy, after all, his devil may care attitude was part of the reason she liked him. But last night and today had been too much to deal with.

She had gone to spacecon and rented a room for the evening. It hadn't been cheap, but she had deemed it to be worth it. She was going to Surprise the Zombie with her room key, and there under the stars, they would be intimate for the first time. That's what she had planned. Instead, Riley had been mugged by her sister, and the key had been stolen, so he claimed. To top it all off, Dalia had spent the night pranking her. When Phae had confronted Riley the next day, he had seemed so unconcerned by it that it actually hurt her feelings. She had tried so hard and set up something so nice, and he had completely dismissed it like it was nothing.

She pulled one of her pillows up to her face and pressed it tight against her skin and screamed into it. She hadn't been this frustrated before, not that she could remember. She wanted to Yell at Riley, to tell him off, make a scene. But somehow she knew that wasn't going to help. Perhaps it was better that she just walked away.

Perhaps walking away was not the best way to describe what had happened. She had been pissed up there. On her way out she had probably caused a couple hundred dollars in property damage. Shredding a few cushions and curtains, and even uprooting a potted plant before finally reaching the Teleporter. By far it was tame compared to what she wanted to do. Still, she had left before saying anything she would regret later.

"How could he be so stupid?" She sighed as she tossed the pillow across the room.

Riley fucked up.

To be brutally honest from his point of view, he didn't really understand or got the problem at first. He didn't actually know what Phaedra was planning and at the time getting the key “stolen” didn't even seem like it would cause such a big of a problem.

….Okay yeah, the key wasn't exactly stolen like Riley said but it might as well been. EITHER WAY he was definitively, totally, and indubitably was in the wrong on this one.

From the way he had Phaedra had stormed off he knew he had completely fucked up.

The trip back to earth via the teleporters wasn't a long one but it is where Riley decided to find a way to make it up. The biggest problem with this was...he wasn't sure how and if he should. Originally he was just going to let her cool off for a few days but after changing his mind several times he finally decided to just go see her as soon as he could.

However, Riley actually made a few stops before he went to go see Phaedra. He did get a weird plushie of the mascot from the Spacecon but it was basically a cheap five dollar gift anyone could have gotten. Honestly trying to find the perfect “I'm sorry” gift wasn't super easy so he decided to get a gift no one could give.

So basically just like that and without much hesitation Riley literally went to go cut himself open and put his heart in a cooler which he gift wrapped and placed inside of the gift bag with the plushie. Honestly if Riley wasn't dead and feel pain he wouldn't have removed his heart from his body. That is probably the dumbest thing anyone could do who wasn't a zombie.

Riley didn't make any sort of attempt to actually stitch up his cut; he just kinda wrapped a few bandages around himself, threw on a shirt, and left. He wasn't sure how long that all took before he found himself groaning in the elevator as this really lame ass elevator music played. It was trying to be jazz music but at the same time it was trying to be pop music…..it was just really horrible. As soon as the door opened for the elevator he quickly got off of it as he could as he headed in.

Ignoring the existence of the doorman, Riley would head on in and just slowly approach Phaedra’s room. Why was he moving slow? Well you see….the zombie boy was stalling. He was stalling because he wasn't sure what to exactly say other than “Sorry”. He should have thought about that when he was on the elevator but there was that trashy elevator music playing. So now here he was staring at the front of Phaedra’s bedroom door.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

“It's the zombie filth.”
