Magic, a way of bending reality to your will. If you harness magical energies then your limitations fall away. Like most tools, magic could be used in combat, in fact it was a much more useful weapon than most. Galen had dedicated his life to combat magic, to being a battle mage and now he was passing those skills onto others. Today he was teaching one Hazel Arlnest, a young witch with skills in ice and owl magic, missing one leg and blind in one eye.

They stood outside, he'd set up several targets for them to use, some human shaped others not. It was a simple setup, but it'd work just fine for them. They'd be focusing on long range combat, projectile use of her ice magic.

"Hit the targets," he told his student, "ice blasts, ice shards, any projectile attacks you can conjur up." Galen wanted to see what she could do, see what she was lacking. Did she have good aim? Good power? Good focus? He wasn't going to go easy on her because of her leg and eye, combat was a life and death scenarios, it didn't care if you were handicap. @Prinny-Jt

Hazel felt quite awkward, but it was something that needed to happen. Haru had been nagging her to learn how to fight without her magic, Then it became too late and now she can't do that. But private lessons in how to use her magic more effectively in combat, yes.

So here she was, standing there looking at the targets. He wanted her to hit them, so she did. They were great shots, ice flying hitting all the targets. Most shards, but there was a few fist and longer spikes that hit them as well. It was a bit obvious that she could only spawn five of the bigger fist and spikes at a time. Though with all, she took her time when it came to aiming, making sure to hit them as close to the middle as she could. Which she did.
