Maddie: Alternate Picture Maddie stands at a short 5'1" and weighs in at a mere one hundred pounds. She is a petite young thing, with only the barest of curve and barely any chest to speak of. Her fair skin is complimented by short, auburn hair and a dust of freckles across the bridge of her nose and upper cheeks. Her hair rests in such a way to suggest if she grew it out that it would curl. Her face shows her youth, from the gentle upward angle of her eyes to the soft up-turn of her nose. Her features are soft and feminine, and her cheeks and nose are always just a hint. Her choice of clothing doesn't help to make her appear older; Maddie enjoys over-sized sweatshirts and jackets that hang passed her hands and thighs and swallow up her figure.  Maddie is very shy, especially around men or boys, even more so if she finds someone attractive. If she thinks someone is flirting with her, she'll fall all over herself verbally. She is most comfortable when in a small group of people she knows well. Despite her shyness, Maddie tries to make friends and put herself out there as best she can. Being easily embarrassed doesn't help her demureness. She is often blushing, while she rarely stutters, she does talk slow when humiliated and has a tendency to avoid eye contact as she searches for what to say. She hates large crowds. In spite of all this, Maddie is a curious and adventurous girl. She loves the idea of exploring and can't help but eavesdrop where her friends are involved. One could consider her nosy. In matters of the heart, her family, and her friends, Maddie will face her fears and anxieties to help them best she can. But due to her young age and her bashfulness, Maddie is easily persuaded to leave her comfort zone by the people she spends time with. Very friendly, Maddie likes to see the best in people. She's not naive in the fundamental sense of the word, but she generally can't find it in herself to tell anyone off and say 'no' to people. In this way, she tends to let people walk all over her.  Maddie was born to a sorceress and a druid. While her sister, Sariah's, magic took after their mother, Maddie's magic was similar to their father. When Maddie was eight and Sariah was fourteen; their mother murdered their father, and they had to bear witness to it. Maddie has frequent nightmares about this event, but she doesn't recall why their mother did what she did. Sariah refuses to talk about it. With no family to speak of, Maddie and Saria were put in the foster system. Not long afterward, the two were lucky enough to be adopted into the same home, though Sariah had been adamant that she would never leave Maddie's side. Growing up in the Lennox's house, Maddie has always considered them her family, though she still calls them her adoptive parents. Her reasoning for this is more in distaste for her biological mother than them. When Sariah became nineteen she moved out on her own and Maddie opted to live with her instead of her parents, too dependent on her sister to be far from her. With Sariah not having the same powers as Maddie, she decided to send Maddie to Starlight Academy.
