Michael walked through the town, glances in the windows around him.
Hey, look at that. They're having a sale on 2 piece bathing suits. Said the voice in his head, in a better mood than usual. You'd better go buy one before they run out.
Michael chuckled and dug his hands deeper into his pockets. Let's go inside.
You think? It's bloody cold out here! And find something to eat. You may be watching your weight but i'm hungry.

Rolling his eyes, he entered a small diner to his left. It was warm inside, so he took of his scarf. Spotting an empty seat neer the window he sat in it, and picked up the menu.

Katie was going in there too, so she saw him, and sat down across from him at the table. "Hi. My name's Katie. what's yours?"

Seing as she was passing by, she decided to stop to the small café that was there. She saw a girl and a boy from the corner of her eyes and sat the table next to them.

He looked up startled, and saw a girl sitting across from him. Not knowing what to say, he grabbed a cup of water from the table, and drank.
Where the hell did she come from? The voice asked. There must be something wrong with her.
Why?
Because she's sitting next to you. Bu dum ting!

He snorted into his drink and started laughing. why are you in such a good mood?
Because, I'm watching you make a fool of yourself.

Michael raised an eyebrow, and was about to ask what he ment, but then he saw the girl in the corner of hs eye. Realizing how stupid he must look, he turned to her and said.
'Oh, uh...Sorry about that. I was...uh...Hi, I'm Michael.'
And now you know why I'm in a good mood.

Chuckling softly at the seemingly deranged boy and asked for a glass of water and a blue steak with a bit of salad, which she knew she wouldn't touch but would play with so it would seem like it. She wasn't about to ask for raw meat now could she?

'Oh, it's fine.' He said and smiled at her. His other halves good mood was rubbing off on him.
'Do you want to see the menu? I know what I'm getting.' He slid it to her across the table, and said. 'I'm going to get the club sandwich.

The waitress came back with her steak and gave her it. She took out her fork and knife and started eating her meal, occasionally cutting through the salad and playing actress on the matter of really eating the green horrors on her plate. Sometimes, she would slip some in a hidden plastic bag looking as if she had eaten it... But anyway. She had an hard time not eating her nearly uncooked meat in a manner reminiscing of a dog or any other carnivorious animal.

He looked out the window, and waited for the water to come.
Hey, that girl at the table next to us isn't really eating.
What?
Look. She's eating her stake, but she's only pretending to eat her salad.
How did you even notice?
You can see her out of the corner of your left eye.

He sighed, but looked anyway. And he watched as the girl brought a forkfull of lettuce to her lips, then quickly put it back down on the plate.
So? Whay does it matter.
It doesn't really. Just thought I'd let you know.

Looking back out the window Michael pushed this mystery out of his mind.
If you can even call it a mystery. It's a girl and her lunch.

Sensing she was being looked at, she paused the steak bite nearly at her mouth, fangs slightly showing.... She continued what she was doing seing as it only was the boy from the neaighbooring table.
