"No, no. I'm not possessed. Just changed by my time in Ebonyridge." Among other things, but Hella didn't want to get into those right now. She paused though, confused and honestly a good bit skeptical about the idea that Lynn wanted to help her just to be her friend.

"My friendship? That's all you want?" She swuinted hard, still holding her tea but not having drank any of it. "Pardon my bluntness, but I've been dealing with Fae for a while now. I don't take favors lightly anymore. But..."

Her mind was spinning now. That thing Lynn said. About if her sisters were worth saving, she had to at least try. Hella felt her heart jump into her throat at the prospect of making any sort of move against Ebonyridge.

"I suppose if you'll help me with this. However you think you can. I'll help you figure out which Court you come from? On the down low, of course. And we can be friends."

Lynn slowly nodded at Hella.
"Yeah. Your friendship. Is that...not good enough?"

She began to slowy chew on her botton lip. Lynn was way past her comfort zone with this.

"Then don't think of it as a favor?"
She immediately quipped in.

"Think of it as me trying to prove my value as a friend."

"Hmm. Which court I come from?" Lynn looked a bit conflicted at the idea of that. On one hand she did want to know but on the other hand, her dad was clear about not looking too much into that.

"That seems reasonable but how do we go about doing that? Well any of this?"

"No no it is just... I don't know. It seems like such a simple thing. I don't think..." that her friendship was worth helping in what amounted to a suicide mission. But she didn't say that; just shook her head and finally sipped her tea. It tasted like warm water, just like every other time. She couldn't even be disappointed anymore.

"I don't know how we'll do any of this. But now that you've said that about needing to at least try, it's gonna nag me forever if I don't."
Hella smiled, keeping it small so that it didn't stretch to her ears like it tended to do lately. It was creepy and unbecoming.

"We'll think of something though. We have... well, time is of the essence but we can't rush ourselves. The Elves of Ebonyridge are... awful and cunning. I had weeks of preparation last time and still got trapped." She wanted to say thank you so much, but the mere thought of forming the words made her want to vomit blood. Oh well, hopefully Lynn would understand.

"Yes preperation is always good. My father always says never rush into anything without a well thoughtout plan....and a couple of backups."
Actually, Lynn was getting a bit annoyed now about how useful her dad was despite being the complete jackass he is.
"But for me to outsmart a Fae I will have to think like one..."

"Is it possible to um...." How could Lynn put this?

"Do you know all the rules and laws that these elves follow? I think the more I learn about them, the easier it is for me to find a loophole somewhere."

Loopholes. As Loki taught Lynn, there is always a loophole somewhere. One just have to simply look for it.

"Know your enemy." Lynn nodded.

Still the only question remains now is how will Hella help her find her court. Well maybe they just save that for later. It didn't seem as much important to Lynn compared to helping Hella get her sisters back.

"Yes, I'm aware of what kinds of rules there are there."
And she went into it. The complex social trappings of Ebonyridge. No lying. No walking on still water deeper than an inch. So many layers, some of which seemed nonsensical or contradictory.

And then there was the Dying Day stuff. Hella paused. "Lynn, this might be a very stramst question. But do you know the day you will die? Of old age, I mean."
She sipped her tea, thinking. Why hadn't she opened with that? It was the easiest way to tell, as far as she could guess.

Lynn was actually paying a lot of attention to Hella about all the rules of Ebonyridge. A few which made sense to her like the water.....while others just sorta wooshed over her head.

Up until Hella asked her a question; Lynn had remained silent the entire time.
"Not exactly. No wait...Ragnarök"
Lynn frowned a bit.

"But that's kinda hard for me to explain fully right now. It was implied by my dad I might die when that shitshow happens."
If, Lynn wanted to say if. Honestly? She didn't really believe the gods will just allow Ragnarök to happen. She sure as heck wouldn't let it happen. It was just the simple fact of everyone in Asgard just sitting around and waiting for it to happen was.....stupid.

"So no, I do not know how I will die...or when."
