Zar sat on the beach with a sketch pad on his knees, the setting sun was a glorious sight to behold and the salty breeze was refreshing if not tantilating.
Zar was sketching the sunset and ocean waves, the black and white of pencil and paper didn't do the scene justice. He set down the note pad and stretched with a sigh. His eye lids closed almost by themselves and he smiled as he flopped back, the fading sun was warm even though it was quickly becoming smaller and smaller in the sky. He knew he should be getting back to the school but he was having to much of a good time to just leave it all behind quite yet. He would wait, maybe something interesting would happen, or maybe not and he would still return to the school refreshed, if not slightly lacking, there was something aching in his chest, and he didn't know what it was.

Terra, as bored as ever, was walking on water. Well, not actually walking on water, just putting peices of rocks on different part of the water and jumping/stepping to them. She spotted a boy drawing. Of course, she had never seen him before. She had not seen anyone. she had gone on a hike in the mountains. A long hike.
"HELLO!"
She yelled to him, even though he was only a few yards away. She stepped to shore and looked to what he was drawing.
"Nice picture. I'm Terra. Who are you? You know, that would look better with paint. Do you like to draw? I don't, I more of a tom boy. So what do you like to do? Draw? Drawings ok, but I'm not very good at it. So, how long have you been here? I've been here awhile, just been skipping class and hanging out in the Mountains. Do you like the Mountains? I do. They're my favorite place in the Academy grounds. So, do you like it here? It think it's ok, but what about you?"
She stopped.
"You know, you still haven't told me your name."

Zhariah sat up in a startle, and very lamely looked over his shoulder to see if someone was behind him that the voice was calling at. He'd only met one person here and that voice was certainly not hers.
His suspisions were answered when a small frame showed up and started talking about his drawing.
He tried to ask her a question, possibly who she was and what she was doing out so late, but he had barely opened his mouth before she went off about the mountains.
He smiled and tried to listen to what she was saying but could barely make it out...that and the fact that his mind wandered to how she could talk that much without breathing, and how long it would take of this before her head blew up...
he let out a chuckle when she mentioned the fact that he hadn't said his name.
Well that's because I can't get a word in. But that's okay. My name is Zhariah, but you can call me Zar. So Terra, what are you doing around here when it's getting so late? Oh and to answer your other questions, I've only been here a few days, and I have yet to locate a favorite place at this school, although I am partial to the art room he said with a smile.
