Olli sat in the sand, looking a little confused. He'd seen Ray the day before, and he was suddenly reminded of how much he'd liked her before he moved. And then to make it all worse, she was starting to look like a girl. A really. really. really pretty girl. And then she'd excused herself and ran off with another guy.

Ever since then she'd occupied all of his thoughts. He jerked a hand through his semi-wet hair and sighed. This was borderline obsessed, but he couldn't help it. Meeting someone he'd liked and trusted when he was younger when he was in a place expecting to know nobody was..nice, to say the least.

Rio was walking down the sand, her usual peppy, happy self when she heard the radio in near by restaurant kick into her theme song. She smiled widely and closed her eyes as she started combining her two loves, dancing and gymnastics. While Rio was very good at the trapeze she was also pretty good at ground gymnastics, flips turns, cartwheels, you name it, she could do it. So as the song continued she danced.

Moving on the floor now babe you're a bird of paradise
Cherry ice cream smile I suppose its very nice
With a step to your left and a flick to the right
You catch the mirror way out west
You know you're something special and you look like you're the best.

Her name is Rio and she dances on the sand
Just like that river twisting through a dusty land
And when she shines she really shows you all she can
Oh Rio Rio dance across the Rio Grande

Ive seen you on the beach and Ive seen you on tv
Two of a billion stars, it means so much to me -
Like a birthday or a pretty view
But then I'm sure that you know its just for you.

(chorus)

-

Hey now (wow), look at that.
Did he nearly run you down?
At the end of the drive, the lawmen arrive,
You make me feel alive, alive, alive
Ill take my chance, cause luck is on my side
I tell you something, I know what you're thinking
I tell you something, I know what you're thinking

(chorus)

Her name is Rio and she don't need to understand
And I might find her if I'm looking like I can
Oh Rio Rio hear them shout across the land
From mountains in the north down to the Rio Grande

The song always got her so caught up because it was so LIKE her too! She was sure her parents named her after this song, but, the would never admit it.
At the last verse she started singing too.
Oh Rio, Rio hear them shout across the land....!
that was as far as she got because as she got to that part she did a triple spin into a cartwheel and accidentally plowed into some poor young boy that was sitting on the beach looking melancholy.

He looked up at Rio just in time to see where she was going. As she moved forward to plow into him, he slowed time and got himself into a position to break her fall without hurting himself. Then he let time go back to normal and caught her. "You okay?" he questioned with a small grin on his face. He let her go and moved backwards.

His mind momentarily settled on Ray again, before he pulled himself out of it to observe the girl he'd just caught. He cocked his head at her and then grinned again. "I'm Olli." he introduced himself.
