It wasn't really that much, he wasn't planning to eat it all in one go. Of course that didn't at all mean that it wouldn't happen. Levi said things and rarely ever kept to them. A dumb little smile popped up onto his features as he was asked to help carry everything, great! That meant it was all his. Apart from the things that were Ty's. Which would probably also end up being Levi's. I bet they'd have a fit if they ever had to meet you. The boy shrugged, he supposed he was indifferent to parents by now, his smile vanished, but he still let out a trail of soft laughter that suggested he was amused. "I guess we're even then, aren't we? 'Cause my mom is dead and my father hates everything to do with me." His laughter died a second later as he realized that probably wasn't all that funny. Shaking the thought off, he decided to change the subject instead.

"We can go home soon, if you like." Dumping an armful of sweets onto the counter, Levi stepped back and inch and stifled a short yawn. It wasn't exactly early in the day, but the cold tended to take an awful lot out of him, especially being someone who was used to far higher temperatures than this. "We haven't really seen many animals, though." He at least wanted to see the lions, and did they have bears? Levi liked bears, they reminded him of Ty.

Tyberius shot Levi a careful side-glance at his remark. The way Levi had sounded, the comment about his own parents had sounded like a joke, but the words were awfully opposite. He didn't have a strong bond with his own parents, but he felt for Levi's lack. In a way, he had taken over the parental role a bit without really meaning to. "Soon. We can go to the petting zoo and see the other animals on the way out. We can come back another time to see the rest, as well. "

Paying for the sweets at the counter, he was grateful to see that they all fit into one bag. Brushing his fingers through Levi's dark hair, Ty petted his roommate softly and squished him closer into his side. "You aren't too tired, are you? If you get too tired, I ... I can probably carry you." That wasn't exactly his first choice of events, but he wouldn't mind carrying Levi out if he got too tired here. Ty imagined he would probably end up regretting the offer, but he didn't mind too terribly; as long as Levi was happy, he would suffer. Blinking back this thought, Ty thought that this was probably what it felt like to have friends. Gross. "Did you want any of these sweets right now or did you want to wait for home?"

Levi tried not to dwell on his family very much, it was a touchy subject, and it was easier to make jokes about it than talk about it seriously. He didn't really mind being 'mothered' by Ty, as it was, it was positive attention most of the time, and besides, he liked spending time with him, as much as he hated to admit it, he liked his estranged room mate, he liked him an awful lot. You're so gay. It was true, though? Wasn't it. For once he didn't really care. "Wasn't it expensive to get in, though?" He frowned just a little, then again, he was pretty sure that Ty's parents were rich.

He shook his head when asked if he was tired, he could probably keep going for another couple of hours, though he wouldn't really mind being carried... That was perhaps pushing his luck, though, if he could walk perfectly well. It was probably best to save the sweets for home, it was better if Levi didn't go mental in a place full of wild animals, the safety of his dorm was probably a better idea. "I'll save them for later, because if I have one I'll probably want them all."

"It was ... It cost a little money, yes." He liked keeping his financial aspects more or less a secret. Tyberius was the type who preferred to work for what he spent, instead of relying on handouts to survive. Of course, his mother had forbade him to get a job until he could pull his grades back up, and was stuck getting their monthly allowance for now.
I'll save them for later. The fact that Levi was making a responsible decision for once was shocking, and Tyberius turned to stare at him accordingly. That was ... Incredibly intuitive of him, Ty couldn't help but be proud of his little companion.

"Good choice." Outside, the many tiny arrows pointing at a corral obviously signaled the presence of a petting zoo. There wasn't too much of a line outside the pen, and it was mostly children and their parents huddled outside, pointing at the various animals and mimicking their noises. "Look, they've even got a baby horse in there." The foal was rather pretty, a light brownish colour with random white splotches across it's body. "I wonder how much a horse would cost to keep." He had not much interest in horses themselves, but the image of himself atop a dark, high-strung stallion was quite lovely.

An awful surge of affection suddenly tore it's self from Levi, and all of a sudden it became painfully difficult to stop himself from clinging to the older man and not letting go for the rest of the day. Instead he just opted for snatching up Ty's hand and holding it tightly to his chest. Slowing just a little as they drew close to the petting zoo, he clung to Ty a little tighter and frowned. "What if they bite me?" He asked, dark eyes flickering sideways to look up at him. A baby horse though, Levi didn't know how much a horse would cost to keep, but would it really be that much? All they ate was grass, right?

Though, as he approached the little creature, it let out a short whinny and inched back a few paces, casting him wary looks and trotting hurriedly over to it's mother stood at the other end of it's pen. The demon frowned a little, "oh." Staring at the little animal cowering behind it's mother, he looked backward at Ty, "what did I do wrong?" Maybe he'd have better luck with the other animals. There was an enclosure full of little piglets running around in the one next to the ponies, snorting and making little happy squealing noises while a large sow lay on her side in the hay in one corner. Though, as Levi approached these ones, the happy squealing instantly stopped, and the large sow at the back lifted her head. There was a look in her eye, a dangerous look that Levi didn't register until she lifted herself and charged full on at the fence, colliding with it with a loud crash and making the poor boy jump out of his skin. "Jesus Christ!"

"I think they're trained to not bite. It'll be fine." He wouldn't hesitate to slaughter one of the animals if they bit him, though. As they approached the small enclosures, the foal made a strange noise and ran back to it's mother. Frowning at the pair of horses, he patted Levi quietly on the head. "Maybe they're just tired." That was a very odd reaction, though, and Ty didn't know what might have happened. Hoping for better luck with the next set of animals, they approached the mess of piglets, and as soon as they got into range, the animals fell dead silent.

The mother pig eyed Levi suspiciously, and something didn't feel right. All of a sudden, she charged at the fence, smacking into it with a loud bang. Without thinking about it, Ty scooped Levi up, squishing him fiercely into his chest. His first instinct had been to protect Levi, rather than nudge him closer to the accident. A little frightened by his reaction, Ty coughed awkwardly before setting Levi back down. "Maybe ... Maybe we will have better luck with the other animals. Look, the goats over there look pretty happy to see you." And indeed, a handful of goats were all clustered at the front of their pen, stepping over each other as they started bleating and maa-ing in their direction.

Feeling himself tugged roughly into Ty's chest, all Levi could do for a moment was nestle there, casting a wary gaze at the mother sow, he let himself be hurried away to the little herd of goats making expectant little noises at him. "Pigs are scary". Cautiously extending a hand to the closest one - a little black and white one, with backwards curving horns and green eyes, surprisingly enough it pushed against his hand and let it's self be scratched behind the ear. A frown flickered across Levi's face, "I'm confused." Another had butted it's way past the little black one, this one with horns that more or less matched the shape of Levi's, maa-ing softly and pushing it's self to the fence to get closer.

Animals didn't like Levi, that was something he was perhaps suspecting. There was a calf in the pen opposite him, lowing nervously and pacing away from the fence, apparently glaring at him from the little shelter in the back. But not these goats, they were practically scrambling over one another to get to him, and he was beginning to wonder if Ty's constant insults of goat really were true, perhaps they saw the horns and recognized him as one of their own kind, but then why was the cow balking? Cows had horns too, right?

A small smile twitched at the corner of Tyberius' mouth as he watched Levi interact with the goats. They seemed to be more than excited to see him, climbing over each other to reach his hands. Stepping up next to Levi, Ty folded his arms as he stared down at the creatures. They had barely noticed him, all determined to greet Levi instead. "Look, your family recognise you. They want you to move back home, how about that." The cow had backed off even, and was squinting from inside the little sun shelter. They were supposed to be docile, he thought.

"Are you done with your family reunion? Those chickens over there look funny — Hey. Look at those chickens." Abandoning Levi to his new herd, Ty trotted over to the chicken pen. There was a whole bunch of different species, from regular chickens to wide, fluffy ones that just looked like cottonballs wandering around. The one white fluffy one was proudly strutting around, and Ty wanted to eat it more than anything. Taking a furtive glance around him, he was a bit dismayed to see a keeper watching over all the animals, keeping tabs on the people interacting with him. He supposed... It wouldn't take much to just... Turn into a raven here and carry one off. They couldn't stop a bird.

Pushing one of the goats away, Levi wiped his hand off on the leg of his pants and lifted an eyebrow at Tyberius, "well I guess they're better than the family I have, right?" He asked, letting out a short bark of laughter to accompany his words. His attention was stolen up by the funny, fluffy little birds Ty had called chickens. Naturally, they all spooked as Levi came close, running for their hen house in a little bobbing sort of waddle. All they left was a little white egg sat in the middle of where a particularly fluffy chicken had once been sitting. Pouting a little, Levi couldn't leave it there could he? What if the mother forgot about it and it died. Was Tyberius watching? Yes. He'd have to distract him somehow.

There was an oddly hungry look in the man's eye as Levi turned to him, and glancing back at the chickens who were nervously peaking out of their coop, and back at Tyberius again, he couldn't help but wonder why. "What?" He asked, "why are you making that face? You know what, never mind, look at that tiny baby lamb, his daddy has horns like mine." And while his room mate was distracted, Levi shuffled forward a few inches, leaning far over the fence and struggling wildly to snatch up the little white egg. Just within his reach, he grabbed it, and tucked it into the pocket of his jacket. Up-righting himself, and checking back to see if Ty had noticed, the boy brushed himself off and cleared his throat softly. Nothing suspicious here. "Why don't any of these animals like me?"

Tyberius twitched a little, hearing his roommate talk to him. He was taken out of his chicken-trance, and blinked down at Levi. He was pointing over at a baby lamb, and Ty followed, curious in the tiny thing. It had thick fluffy fur, and felt more like a rug than an actual animal. His fingers squished down into the thick wool, and his nose wrinkled at the unfamiliar texture. "Strange." He preferred chickens, he thought, and turned back to Levi looking strange.

"Now what are you up to?" Completely unaware that Levi had swiped a chicken egg, Ty tilted his head, looking over at the chickens all puddled into their coop, the cow cowering behind it's shelter, and the other animals who had mysteriously disappeared, Ty couldn't bear to tell Levi that maybe the animals didn't like him. "It's probably me they don't like. Ravens eat everything, I bet they can tell I'm a bird of prey. That's why the mother pig charged, I guess. To protect her piglets from being carried off." Ty nodded definitely. This sounded like a much better excuse than 'maybe they all just hate you.'
