She chuckled, "You need more training than I thought." Okay close your eyes, she used wind and 'climbed' up a tree pretending to really have climbed it. She focused her wind control on keeping him to the ground so he couldn't fly, now the only way he could save her was by wind if she falled. "Open!" She let go of the branch "Save me!" She could always save herself at the last minute, but she knew this should produce enough stamina to make his power be pushed to the max.

As she jumped of the tree he easily bends the wind beneath her and catches her, setting her down gently, "No..I think you misunderstood me. I have no problem with channeling small amounts of wind where I want them. It's when I gather a large amount of it, like say enough to move the clouds," he says, pointing up to the sky, "I can't manage enough control over it to push it upward and into the sky far enough to move the clouds."
"Ohh.... Well in that case watch me." She said gather the wind with her mind, she imagined the wind blowing away the cloud. She opened her eyes wind in the air making a tornado in the air above her it grew the higher it got in the sky. She then had the tornado reverse pushing the cloud halfway out of the way. She looked back to Painter, "Now try it and think about something else. Do it as if you can do it and predetermine what it's going to do in the end."
With a nod, Painter takes a deep breath and summons the winds around him. As they circle his body he creates a small updraft, deciding to try a different approach. He hovers up in the air, remembering hos forceful the wind blast was earlier when he lost control of it. With a shuddering breath, he lets out a small cry and pushes the winds hard to either side of him. He allowed himself to lose control if it, but was able to control which direction they went. The force of the sudden blast of wind acted like a sonic boom and pushed the clouds away from each other and making a gap for the son to peer down through. He hovers slowly back to the ground and begins to breathe a little raggedly, "There, that worked.." he says with a bead of sweat running down his cheek.
She smiled wiping the sweat from his face with her cool hand. "You'll get the hang of it." She hugged him slightly then moved away, realizing she wasn't supposed to do to that. She smirked playfully, she couldn't let training be such a bore. She poked him and ran into the woods, "Let's see if you can catch me!" She said with a light smile. Running faster, she was gonna see if he had good running speed.
A smirk appears on his face and he dashes off after her. He knew if he could catch her with a few hundred meters he'd get her, but after that he couldn't see it. He chuckles, deciding cheating would be no harm done and he shifts the winds so that they begin pushing against her. He begins to laugh as he gains on her easily after that and picks her up in his hands. He tosses her over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes and turns back towards the clearing smiling.
"Cheating... So mean..." She said over his shoulder, she chuckled lightly poking him. She wondered why he didn't just catch her without his powers, she guessed he just wanted to catch her sooner. Though she could've pulled a fast one and struggled but she did so enjoy being held by him. Though not very much like a sack of potatos, but she knew he was joking around with her.
With a small laugh, he sets her down on the ground when they reach the clearing again, "Next test Hitler?" he asks her, a smile coming across his face. He was still feeling slightly tired from moving the clouds, but he chose to hide it, deciding the only way he was going to continue to get better was to fight through the exhaustion.
She chuckled, then kissed him on the cheek softly and sweetly. "Hitler doesn't do that now does he?" She said with a smirk, she looked around trying to find that log from last time but she couldn't find it. She sighed lightly, "Okay since the right size log isn't present I'll pretend to be a log." She said standing perfectly straight to kinda resemble a log. "Flying exercise again." She explained, it was important he got all his physical and non-physical abilities as high as possible before they could even think of fighting against Darci.
He gapes at her and shakes his head, "You're as crazy as you are beautiful.." he mutters before walking over and putting his arms around her. He lunges up into the air, catching a draft in his wings and flying a few feet higher before setting gently back down on the ground. He repeats the exercise again and again, getting a little slower every time. "Blah..and I thought the log was heavy, at least that was hollowed out.." he says to her jokingly.
