He'd gotten some hunting in, trained a bit, and now was just relaxing. The dragon was ten feet tall at the moment, humming as he laid next to tree, the tip of his tail slowly swaying. A nice quiet moment, at least until she arrived.

The dragon would tilt his head when the girl stepped into view, he'd picked up her scent a bit ago. "Hello there," he'd say, tilting his head, his tail gently tapping on the ground.

"Don't see many non shifters this deep in," he'd say, scratching at his chin, humming thought. "You exploring?" @Lich King

Amara was pretty tired given her long day in the lab. Her bones were screaming at her to take a quick bite and go to sleep. That would only be the best timeline though. In reality, Amara was doing what she always did everyday, worry about Lichy. The direwolf to none of her neighbor's surprise had run off on his own again and it was up to her to make sure he didn't cause any mischief. It wasn't out of capabilities to go off into the city, pull up some plants from the park, and deposit the dirt-covered flora on her bed. Today however he was going back to a classic, forest expedition.

Still, in her school attire, Amara traversed rocks and branches with ease as the years of doing this built her skills in such environments. Also with the territory was the skill of tracking and with patience and confidence she followed tracks through the forest assured it was Lichy. The black Direwolf prowled these woods to both hunts and get away from her. She knew all his favorite areas and this was one of them. Her mind focused it wasn't until a voice came her way that she broke from the vampiric stupor.

"Huh? No No I don't really do that kind of stuff just looking for a friend of mine." She took in the tall figure but didn't dwell too much on their appearance. Many people wandered the forest whether it is for fun or health reasons. She'd seen all types of creatures come through the area that the reptilian giant in front of her serve just blended in.

"He is a wolf about this big with black fur. He seems to have gone intangible around here so the tracks have stopped for the moment." She swiveled her head around every which way because it also wasn't beyond him to stalk her while she was tracking him.

He'd hum in thought, shifting down to his human form. "Haven't seen any wolves today," he'd sniff the air, picking up a very weak scent that was possibly wolf. "How long since you last saw him?" he'd ask, sniffing the air again.

Then he heard the loud stomach growling, looking back to her and tilting his head. "Hungry?" digging in his bag he'd pull put a few granola bars and offered them to her. "I'm Eein," he'd say, offering her a smile.

"As for your friend, maybe I can help find him, plus I could ask a few locals." He'd look to a squirrel that'd been watching them, the squirrel would start chattering at them, running back and forth on their branch. "Ok.....not that one....that one is an asshole."

"It's been about...maybe three or four hours?" Amara spoke as she kept scoping around the ground for any trace hint of Lichy. She'd be lying if the hunt for him didn't thrill her on occasion. Sometimes she chalked it up to her Vampiric nature other times it was just the sheer number of times she was forced to do this making her cope. Regardless Amara didn't have a hint of worry or fear in her voice or face.

As the dragon sniffed around Amara felt the weight of her day crash into her stomach with a light but strong growl. Despite the softness, however, the noise was picked up by the dragon who selflessly ofered her several granola bars. "Uhhh no thanks those won't really do much for me. I'll probably just buy something from a vending machine on the way back.....Oh, and you can call me Amara. " she focused on him long enough to give a proper bow.

"The help would be appreciated however you can give it. He tends to stalk me after awhile or he just heads home and keeps me out here late for no reason." Amara watched as the now humanoid dragon was judging a squirrel by labeling them an asshole. She had no clue what they had done but the two must've had some history for that to be the case.

The squirrel would run to the end of its branch, flinging an acorn at Amara's head before scurrying away into the branches. "Yeah....he really doesn't like humanoid beings," he'd say, shaking his head. "Anyways, I'm Eein, and yeah, I'll help you track him down," he'd sniff the air.

"Follow me," he'd lead her a bit further into the forest, stopping at the base of another tree, a large hawk was perched in its branches. The hawk would look down at them, tilting it's head and hopping down to a lower branch near Eein. Eein would look at the bird, having a telepathic conversation.

"He says he saw a large wolf wander through here, it apparently could walk through things." He'd motion in the direction the wolf went, before pulling out a piece of jerky and offering it the bird, who would accept it, happily devouring it.

The dragon would lead Amara in the direction. "So you a student?" he'd ask curiously, she looked roughly his age, maybe tall for her age, attractive. He'd stop again, a chipmunk perching on a branch looking at the two. "She saw him too," he'd say with a thoughtful hum, pulling out a few peanuts and giving them to the chipmunk before continuing on.

Knocking the incoming corn to the side Amara would follow Eein as he trekked through the forest. With each animal they stopped to talk to Amara would do her own little scan of the area for signs or clues as to where Lichy had gone off to. She couldn't deny her luck in finding someone who could speak to animals and was also able to help. At the very least she hoped it speed up the search to where she could eat and get in an episode of Critical Role.

"Walking through things is definitely something he does..." She'd say passingly as she sniffed a nearby plant.

As their journey continued she thought of how to make idle conversation with the stranger. While multitasking was her life she was fairly focused on numerous things at the moment past small talk. Thankfully Eein forced her into it as the silence between them drew on for a moment.

"Yes, I go to college for.... a bunch of stuff actually. I've somehow managed to get three majors."

"Damn three majors," he'd smile, "you're intelligent, must be tiring though, keep you busy." He'd hum in thought, "I've been looking at majors, I plan on becoming a scout, so gotta take classes for it." He was a senior so he was getting ready for next year.

"Besides school what do you do?" he'd stop when a very large deer approached them, he'd have a telepathic conversation and the deer would move along. "So, apparently your wolf friend headed upward sometime ago," he'd sniff the air before turning to her.

"Wanna fly?" he'd ask, "I can shift and carry you." It seemed like a good way to cover ground faster. "I'd keep us just a bit above the trees, your friend isn't leaving a scent trail, so it could help."

Amarra chuckled at the compliment but she didn't deny it or give any air that Eein was wrong, she was smart. Amarra had spent much of her life preparing for her future so that she and her sister could live a good life in the future. Even now she was making preparations to become her legal guardian. There was no space for her to lack, or stop moving forward.

When Amara saw Eein was actually trying to hold a conversation she'd pay more attention to his words than looking for minor clues in the environment. It seemed the animals of the area were well aware of Lichy's path so it only made sense to let experts guide the way. " I've interned here and there. Right now I'm helping the Ichor company so that I have an in with their research department." There was an air of arrogance as she spoke because it had been a hassle to geet all those internships and she was proud of having them on her belt.

"I can get around myself if you want to go flying?" Amarra would dig into the bag she was carrying and pull out a small disk. After a few presses of a button, the disk would expand into an even larger disk. Tossing it to the ground, she would hop on top of it and begin to hover off the ground. "Lead the way."

"That's the company that provides blood alternatives right?" he'd ask curiously, looking down at the floating disc. "The hell is that thing?" he'd ask with a chuckle, leaning down and poking at the device.

He'd shift to his dragon form, but kept himself at six feet tall. "So, pretty and smart," he'd say, smirking a little, his wings lifting him up a bit. "I still have to wait a bit until I can start scout training, I'm itching to get into it."

The dragon would fly on, making sure his companion was able to keep up. "So, your wolf friend, he sapient?" he'd ask, "or we following a normal wolf that has a little magic mixed in?"

"Just a basic thing I had made so I could fly around. With enough time you can find anyone in the city to make anything." Amarra spoke as Eein took on a more draconic shape than before. Without any real effort, her disk would begin to lift higher and higher as the two moved above the ground in search of Lichy.

When the comment of her appearance came up Amarra just gave a small smile. It was one she had practiced over and over as she got older and her body developed. It was the most basic tool a girl like her could use to suppress her slight disgust and annoyance. People liked to make assumptions about her simply because of her looks, and it was something that had gone on for far too long in her life. Without an extra word to the comment, Amarra would just ignore it and push past it.

"The Scouts are rather important to our society so I'm sure they will be happy to have eager volunteers ready to learn."

The Scouts had crossed her mind early in life but it was a dream that became more and more unappealing as she learned new things. Her talents could be placed elsewhere while those with the heart and disposition to take on the task of traveling the narrow could work there. Research and discovery were more her speed.

"You mean sentient? He is smarter than your average wolf given his shenanigans but he isn't to the level that the city will deem him his own personal being so he stays with me as my pet. He's been around a good amount of my life which is why this sort of behavior isn't too scary to me."
