Eli suppressed a groan. He had a lot of different thoughts about the whole dilemma of not knowing what he is. Sometimes, he thinks it's a good thing. Sometimes, he thinks that he's just simply human. But, other times he believes that not knowing what he is... is bad.

Once again, he listened to Juniper. He could feel his jaw was still clenched from Juniper's comment about being human. The thoughts still sat with him in an uncomfortable way. It's not a great thing to keep on your mind.

He finally groaned at Juniper's last few comments. He crossed his arms once again, an irritated look on his face. "I know what people from my time were like. I lived with them. They chased me into a desert. Been there, done that." He sounded about as irritated as he looked. "I highly doubt being successful in some media I've never even heard of would be the top of your priority list."

He politely nodded, smiling through gritted teeth. In all honesty, he was mildly intrigued with Eli's origin, it vaguely reminded him of his own struggles as a boy. Of course, he would never admit that, especially after Eli insulted the media. The television industry was like a child to him, in the sense that he could criticize its blatant flaws along with the rest of its veterans, but god forbid anyone outside the elusive circle trashed it. Even the smallest reminiscence of guilt had already left Juniper by the time Eli finished talking.

" First of all, it may not have been one of yours- but- it would be, in fact, near the top of my priority list. Right after my family of course, both success and entertainment are important to me, I simply cannot go on without them." He corrected, pointing his index finger up to form a 'one'. "Secondly, just what were you being chased in the desert for? Whatever it was, I'm guessing it was quite a scandal, yes? It is unusual... get outed like --that."

Eli sighed as he looked down at the ground. “Well, I think survival would take some priority, but you do you.” His voice dripped with some obvious sarcasm.

He kicked his foot in the ground, feeling somewhat impatient. He just wanted to stop being lost with... all of this. “Well, I think magic arms would do it.” He looked at Juniper for a second before he looked down at the ground.

He finally released an agitated sigh. “Look, are we just gonna be standing out here all night talking? Cause I’d rather not.”

If Juniper had not been so accustomed to that kind of reaction, he would have been sorely offended. Despite having to bite down on his tongue, he felt rather lukewarm. It may have hurt more than a tad, but it held him back from spending more energy on Eli than he was really worth. While he could not stand this man much longer, but it was Juniper's nagging curiosity that entertained staying. The only way to figure out what drove Eli out of the desert and into this dreadful haven was to ask questions.

" Oh, magic arms." His voice fell flat, the suspense was lost. " I was expecting something, er, different, but that most certainly is unconventional." If it wasn't for the fact that he, a fully grown man, had gotten lost deep into the woods with utterly no hope of ever returning, he would have turned the other direction and left. When Eli mentioned getting tired of just standing around, Juniper knew that he may just have a chance of escape. Of course, he'd need Eli, or even more ideally, someone else, to get back to camp.

" Of course not." Retorted Juniper, taking several steps back. Was he actually going to admit to being lost? With the pride of this size, it's best answered in his own words; of course not.

" It's just... You see, I like it here. I'm sure you know where to go, you're welcome to leave." And Juniper would be welcome to follow him back to camp.

Eli just kind of shuffled where he stood as he once again had his arms crossed. He just seemed to look at Juniper in the eyes for a while. He tapped his foot against the floor, feeling somewhat annoyed. He wanted to just get back now, but he still didn't know how to get back. His pride didn't want him to just outright say to Juniper that he was lost.

He finally humphed as his arms dropped to his sides. He just picked a direction and started walking in it. He had no idea if it was the right direction. Likely not. He also didn't care if Juniper really did know the way. He just agitated Eli.

Eli took respect for what he had, especially since he took his life before the desert for granted. Juniper just seemed to completely not care about what he had. Eli's hands clenched as he thought about this. He just seemed selfish, self-absorbed, arrogant, vain... The list went on and Eli was subtly counting with his fingers has thought of another word he'd use to describe Juniper.

Surprisingly, this was passing the time quite nicely for Eli since he was so absorbed in his thoughts, he wasn't particularly getting angry at being lost anymore.
