Loshi gains a voicebox, a speaker able to transmit his thoughts into sounds. He has to actively be thinking something while holding it in his hand, where it sounds like the voice in his head, thought tinny. Others are able to use it too, though the voice it makes changes. When not holding it in his hand, the speaker is silent.
