Looking... Watching...

He looked down at the picture himself. "It was one of the last. Shortly after that, Dad died. Britt was lucky. She didn't know him. She was only one. They'd only been married for about a year, maybe a little more. The year after he died, I was sent away. But this picture... Everyone was happy that day. My biological dad was mean. He hurt my mom and older sister because she wasn't his. My half-sister, you see. Brittany was too little to remember him. He never hurt me physically, just emotionally. I was his son, his only son. He'd had two daughters from a previous marriage, but I was the only boy. My step-dad though..." He trailed off, staring at the picture, wishing it would come to life and things would change again. He shook his head and closed the notebook. "But it's not like that anymore. I'm here now, and I have to deal with it." (G2G)

Deal with it. Isabelle thought, if only it were that easy for her to just deal with it. Deal with it, forget or more on, she didn’t know how to. "I’m sorry." Isabelle said looking down. "It must have been tough. You can remember them right? I mean my memories of my brothers, it’s fuzzy." Isabelle said. She wanted to forget, but she never could forget everything. All the good memories of them were gone and only the bad were left.

"I remember the look on my mom's face on my eighth birthday when she saw me holding the fire from the candles in my hand. I remember trying to keep my little sister Brittany happy while my mom and sister were out working. She loved it when I would pretend that fire came from her fingertips. I remember my older sister trying to explain why I had to go to the orphanage there on the steps of the place. I remember my step-dad the morning he died, kissing my mom and all of us kids good-bye. I remember some other things, but those are the first memories I have of them. But, like I said, that's too depressing. I have to move on. Or at least pretend to. So what's there to do for fun around here?" he asked suddenly, looking at her again.

Isabelle was kind of in a daze. "Huh? What.....oh for fun? Um......I haven‘t been here that long, I’ve been bored out of my mind really. I came here trying to fight the boredom. " Isabelle said.

"We've got to find something to do then," Seth said, standing. He reached down to grab his notebook and pencil then reached his right hand out to help Isabelle up. "Where do you think we could find someone to tell us what's going on around here?"

Isabelle stood, she tried to think of someone. "I dunno. Probably someone who’s been here for a long time." Isabelle said. She hadn’t met anyone who was here for that only, wait there was that one girl. Isabelle couldn't remember her name, that girl was really nice but Isabelle couldn’t see herself hanging out with her.

"Well then," he said, dropping her hand, "let's go talk to someone. There are people all over the place. There's some playing in the water right now," he said, nodding toward the lake in front of them. "There's some playnig in a snowball fight over there. Should we ask one of them. I could melt all the snowballs for a short time so none get thrown at us or something." He smiled at the thought of using his powers once more. It'd been a while.

"Ok, but I cant help it if I accidentally blow up a snowball in someone’s face." Isabelle said and laughed slightly, A snowball fight sounded like fun for a while, but what would they do after.
