I'm looking to run a training arc to teach Lianala Raindance to use magic, with an eventual focus in cryomancy. However, I don't intend to start her off with cryomancy right away, because she needs to learn basic magical theory/spells before specializing. Regarding character types, I'm looking for any sort of mage/magic-using character who can teach her prerequisite skills. Fortunately, your character doesn't have to know cryomancy at this stage, but eventually, I would like to find someone who has a character that can teach Lianala cryomancy after she develops the necessary skill set to do so.
