Tomomi grinned at Eli and winked.
"I was sneakin' around over there when the kid started chasin' me. I was huntin' birds. And since it looked like the birds hadn't flown off yet I reckoned they were still there. I never miss a chance for a prank."

"I don' actually believe in revenge or anythin'. It's got a nasty sound to it, doesn't it? I believe in well deserved payback and then an apology if needed. But that kid will stop cryin' in a few minutes and calm down when he gets some ice cream. See?"
Tomomi pointed to the kid, he had already stopped crying and was smiling happily at his mom.

Tomomi burst out laughing when Eli compared her to the main villain from Sherlock Holmes books.
"Nah, I ain't Moriarty level pal. But thanks for the compliment, I'll take it."
Tomomi grinned.

Eli asked a fair question and so Tomomi considered it seriously, rubbing her chin with her hand.
"If it stops bein' a well-deserved payback then I guess I'll fight 'em. Fair and square, no weapons. Afterwards the winner gets the glory, or the thing we were fightin' about, and the loser is, well, the loser. I'm kinda stupid sometimes so I dunno any other better way to resolve a circle of revenge."

Tomomi laughed with Eli and lightly punched his arm.
"Hey, I can call me stupid but ya can't call me stupid. Ya can call me an idiot though."
Tomomi grinned and lay down on her back, staring at the branches above them.
"An' I don't think you're stupid. Ya seem like a smart guy, even if ya don't know what ya are."
Tomomi turned her head and smiled confidently at Eli.
"Can ya play chess?"

Tomomi chuckled and glanced at Eli grinning.
"That wasn't a payback, it was me showin' affection, buddy."
When Eli said she could be a tactician for some major company Tomomi burst out laughing and rolled from side to side.
"Oh man, never! It would be my nightmare, to sit inside all day. An alley cat needs to be free, ya know."
Tomomi spread her arms, nearly hitting Eli's face.
Tomomi sat back up when Eli said he could play and smirked playfully at him, challenging him.
"Wanna play? The community center has a board."

"I haven't had a best friend so I dunno how long they'd live."

Tomomi smiled and grabbed Eli's hand, pulling herself up.
"Okay, let's go smart guy."
Tomomi started walking, leading the way.
