Looking for Something To Do

"Addiiiieeeee...." Andrew said in a sing song voice, trying to get her to talk to him-or at least tell him to shut up before she pounded him. He cocked his head to the side.

"Andrew told me you two were twins," she said. "And yeah. You guys do seem a bit different, but not really.... not to me yet, at least." Danni laughed. She was a cute little kid. Okay, not really little...she was only four years younger than herself, but...she knew what she meant. "Yeah...we are. You goin' to the dance tomorrow?"

Adelina's eyes shot over to Andrew. "Shut it," she said. "What's with the sing-song voice? Are you trying to make me annoyed with you?" Her eyes narrowed a bit as she waited for an answer, and she sighed. Why did she agree to go to the festival with him?

October nodded her head. "Yeah," she said. "I'm just going because Addie and Andrew are going, though. Are you going, Danni?" she asked.

"What's with the sing-song voice? Are you trying to make me annoyed with you?" Finally!" Andrew thought. He shook his head. "No. Just trying to get you to talk to me. You can't be mean to me forever."

"I'm just going because Addie and Andrew are going, though. Are you going, Danni?" Danni nodded. "Yup. It sounds like it's going to be fun." She said.

Adelina glared at him. "Oh really, I can't be?" she asked. "I most certainly can, Andrew. I can be mean to you for as long as I want; don't doubt that." She turned her eyes away from them again, especially away from Andrew. He was getting on her nerves, and this was kind of obvious, so she wasn't going to just tell him. He should figure it out on his own and use his brain. But, he obviously wasn't if he didn't have enough sense to not annoy her.

October nodded in agreement. "Yeah," she said. "I think so too.... but Addie doesn't. She thinks things like festivals are a waste of time." She said the part about her sister quietly, very quietly, hoping the older girl wouldn't get mad at her for saying so. She looked at her sister, then back to Danni, sighing inwardly.

Andrew grew silent and turned back to the T.V. Yes, he did know that she could-and would- be rude to him for as long as she wanted, but he'd rather she didn't. He glanced at her again, but she was still ignoring him. Like that would ever change. For a fleeting moment he thought about breaking their 'date' for the fall ball. But she had said she would, and he was going to hold her to it.

"I think so too.... but Addie doesn't. She thinks things like festivals are a waste of time." "Why?" Danni asked, not meaning to pry or anything like that, but....who could think parties were a waste of time?

Adelina was glad when he finally just didn't say anything, and did the same. She was going to try not to see him after the fall festival, though she doubted that it would be possible to avoid him for very long. Shaking her head, she decided to just wait until her sister was ready to leave until she left the room.

October just shrugged her shoulders. "To be honest, I'm not completely sure," she said. "She says that she just finds that stuff boring.... and I'm not completely sure how to change her mind." The little girl sighed.

"She says that she just finds that stuff boring.... and I'm not completely sure how to change her mind." Danni shrugged. "Everyone has their own oppinions." She said quietly. But in my oppinion her oppinion is wrong. Danni remembered something she had read one time with a smile.
