Looking for some Friends

I stick my hands in my pockets and decide to check out the lake. I walk across the large lawn and then stand by the lake. I see kids using their powers, so I decide to show mine off a bit.

I look at a small duel, and walk to a tree. I pick it up and chuck it near them, then I pull out my lighter and shoot fire at it. The look at me with disgusted looks on their faces, so I get a look of depression and walk to the flaming tree. I pick it up, it weighing rougly 200 lbs., and throw it into the lake so that the forrest doesn't start on fire.

I flick my bangs out of my face and sit down on the shore. I swivel out my reflection with my finger, and then stare into the wet lake.

You know, when I was little my mom used to tell me that if I looked into the water I would see my dad's reflection. It never did happen.
Said a girl from behind the male.

Linken smiled at him as she crouched near him.
You know, you shouldn't just burn random trees, it takes them long enough to grow for some one to just come and burn them down.
She said bluntly, never being one to hold things in.

Linken was clad in baggy overall jeans and a brown three forth shirt that would have showed her stomach and showed her shoulders. An orange ribbon was around her neck as well as orange feathers and khakhi beret.

I know...it's just...so hard to fit in here. I've never been around so many people like this, and I just...I guess I just need some friends!

He looks up to the girl standing behind him.

The name's Chandler, you?

Hard? It's quite easy to fit in here. Everyone understands the power you have and no one will card you as a freak for it. They are nice here.
She said with a shrug.

I'm Linken.
She introduced herself.

"I guess you're right...It's probably just me that let's no one in... I'm glad that you stopped by!"

He stands up from the shore and looks at her with a smile.

"Are you going to the dance?"

Probably.
She said with a nonchalant shrug.

Don't know many people yet so I'm not sure if I'll actually go to it.
She said carelessly.

I'm looking forward to it, it's my first school event, but I don't have anybody to go with.

He sticks his hands into his pockets, becoming slightly shy, he looks to the ground and when he looks back up he flicks his hair out of his eyes.

Hey, how old are you?

((ooc: you lookin for a date?))

You don't really need to have anyone to go with to go. Right?
She asked curiously, maybe she had read the flyer wrong. She raied an eyebrow at his behavior, not really knowing the defenition of the word embarrasment.

Seventeen. You?
She asked.

(Uhm sure?)

No, you don't have to. It makes it more sentimental I think...but it's not required!

He looks towards the forrest, then back at her.

Same, 17.

Oh ok, you scared me for a second. I thought I had read something wrong.
She said with a smile and a shrug.

Yeah, I guess it does make it more special.
She said with a carefree shrug.

Oh cool.
