She was in a bad mood, everyone, even the most dimwitted could see that. Her strides were harsh even if her boots didn't make that much of a sound. Her coat flowed dramatically behind her, an unfelt wind seemingly pushing it back from her legs. Her aristocratic face was unshielded for all eyes to see, a grim expression of utter rage on her face.
The younger students she passed often would back away in fear as she walked, her aura of utter discontentment being felt by those around. If there was an empath amongst the students gathered outside to enjoy the temperature they would surely have left as fast as their legs could carrie them. Yes, it was that bad. What was even worse, was that she was hungry, not having eaten in a few days, thus sharpening her senses maddeningly.
Her eyes though hidden behind a blind fold from the glare of the sun had taken an ominous red tint, She could see though under the thin piece of fabric, she needed to, because it wouldn't be good for her reputation for her to ran smack into a tree. Her eyes had an affection that made them incredibly accurate and sensitive. Of, for now she saw through the red haze of flesh, but light could do wonders in detailing the environment.
What had made her this angry you would ask? An emissary had come to her, bearer of news she wasn't particularly fond of. It seems the Master of one of the cities nearby considered her as a threat to his power. And he had the audacy to try and intimidate her when she knew he was only in his early thousand. To convey how much she disliked the fact, she had drained the messenger, a five hundred years old vampire, nearly dry, leaving only enough for him to return to his sire.
The audacy of those implied had left a murderous taste in her mouth, it was sheer madness to insult an elder, let alone a female elder, known for their temper. It really didn't say much of the present vampire poulation. Maybe when the next concil would occur, she could press a poulation management and those found to be idiots, morons or simply just too mad would be terminated. Yeah, that will do... She thought,
Suddenly, a scent drifted to her nose, the scent of a vampire, a relatively young one at that, not as young as the others she had encountered, but he wasn't that old either. A small sneer played on her lips, he couldn't be older than five hundred years old. She could determine how old he was, amongst other things, by just the scent, it was quite useful at times.
Unsure why, the elder made a beeline for the younger one, her whole being exhuding power and confidence no other pocessed. If she could find a way to vent her anger, then all the better. Her long black had fallen from the band she had used to tie them up a long time ago, her brisk walk -run- had taken care of it. Her waste of energy hadn't beaten her rage back down, and she was seriously considering going on a rampage on the nastier parts of the city, she was sure nobody would miss those she would kill.
So engrossed in her thoughts of murder and what not as she was, she nearly walked past the younger vampire. She stopped abruptly, her black coat falling limp along her legs, but not before it brushed along the 'boy's' back as she passed.
''Aren't you a bit too old to mingle with kids?'' She asked in a cold voice, reminding those who heard it of the storms that occurred in the worst of winters.
