Looking at the sunset

James emerged from the shadows to the edge of the cliff. The cold of the wind was stinging him, but he didn't notice. His hair gently swaying to one side. He stared at the sunset. "Beautiful" he thought, as he scanned his eyes towards the ravine at the bottom. He was pretty high up, and he closed his eyes, shivering a little. He imagined himself making his way to the bottom of the ravine. He could if he wanted... but was there a way back up? He wanted to find out... but something's missing. Something so special he wanted to remember what it was... but couldn't. If he remembered what he needed, he'd have already been at the bottom of the cliff at the ravine.

For the first time, James noticed the cold wind. But it was colder than ever before. Without even turning to look, he said "hi" back to a stranger in a monotonous tone. "Nice, isn't it?" He asked.

"Yeah." James said, remembering a family member who's power was to change the weather to her advantage. He can't remember who it was: his memory blanked out just before joining the school, and he can't remember his past very well. "What's your name?" He asked.

For the first time, James turned around to look at the stranger. He pulls a confused expression on his face: what kind of name is that? He didn't want to offend her. She seemed pretty nice. He shaked her hand and replied "I'm James. Pleased to meet you." He suddenly remembered what was missing that wouldn't let him practise his acrobatics down the cliff: his two swords and guns for protection. He didn't care though: he wanted to get to know Icy.

"Oh, just bored, that's all" James said with a slight sigh. He didn't have any roommates in his room, and so he had nothing to do. He was tempted to ask Icy what her powers are, but he already knew by the name.
