(I understand totally. :P )

The air was forced into his lungs for many times before it elicited some sort of reaction from the man. The 'kneading' of the interlocked hands on his chest was pumping his blood through his veins, but without results as of yet.

"COME ON BREATH!!!" was the frantic cry from above.

His exhausted body didn't respond at first, but there, a faint but still noticeable thumbing of his heart if you knew where to look. Then a few agonising seconds later there was another and another. The heartbeat was still faint and slightly erratic, but it was better than nothing.

The air was till pushed forcefully into his lungs and the near unconscious man choked and coughed lightly. James' eyes fluttered open and he saw the woman that had been breathing for him for the last minutes or so. He was dully aware of lips on his own and air still being pushed in his lungs. He was grateful for it too as he wasn't sure he would have been able to breath on his own just yet.

Its not like he could do anything about it either way. His heart was beating again, albeit irregularly and faintly, and the simple act of surviving was exhausting. His glazed eyes took upon the sight of the other and he tried to not choke on the air entering his lungs.

She waited, nothing was seemingly happening, then a barely noticable thump she felt. She knew he wasn't ready to breath just yet seeing his heartrate was so low it was barely noticable. She continued her breathing and massaging of his chest near his heart trying to coax the heart to beat stronger. She realized that propping him against something might be a good idea to help with the breathing since when laying down his lungs had to fight gravity.

His waking nearly made Fia stop breathing for him, she didn't know if he could handle breathing just yet seeing his heart was still weakly pumping. She wasn't a medical specialist, she noticed the rock she had used for a basin had a rock that was not too high but high enough to make the gravity not pull against his lungs and yet not too upright to make his wounds hurt more. She stopped breathing for him and brought him closer to the rock propping him up on it which would make breathing a lot easier without making him bleed more. She then put the coat on his chest again, sitting down beside him exhausted.

She watched him ready to breath for him again if another attack occured. She wasn't thinking about embarassment from looking like a girl at the moment. She didn't even think about the possiblity someone else could even think of her as pretty or anything like that. She right now was doing her duty to keep him alive with all her might. She panted lightly, her lungs had been used for two people for the time she breathed for him. They were tired from forcing the air into him, she knew if he had another attack she'd only be able to handle one more attack if it happened close to the first one. She watched her patient and hoped he'd make it. She decided she couldn't go hunting until he had stabilized, she decided she'd only make some water from snow once he was more stable than before.

James felt himself being lift somewhat and propped on a rock near where he had been. The rock was in a smooth angle of about thirty-five degrees. He was propped just enough for it to ease his breath, but not enough to be sitting, a position that would only exhaust him further. The move, however gentle made pain course through his body, but not as blinding as it had been before.

He grimaced softly, but didn't make a sound except for faint breathing. He had managed it for now, but was in no condition to move. Weakly, he tried to push more oxygen in his lungs but found that he couldn't yet. But for now it was enough for his reduced activity.

The coat was replaced over his chest, to keep him warm, sure, a fire would do just as great if not better, but he wouldn't ask for it because he was glad he was alive and more kicking than he had been just a few moments ago. but he couldn't keep the small shiver from running its ocurse through him. He wasn't feeling well and he was so tired that he thought he would pass out soon.

The man was affraid he wouldn't wake up so he continued to breath and concentrated on it, not really feeling up to doing anything else. Each passing minute that he was still breathing and that his heart was beating, they became a tad stronger, signifying that he was back on the road to recovery, for now. He leaned his head back slightly, he didn't fancy laying it on his chest.

He couldn't really refrain the chills that went through him, he was too weak to suppress them. He moaned softly when it jolted his stitched wounds.

Fia noticed his chills, she noticed he was doing better so starting a fire wouldn't be a bad idea. Considering now she was freezing in just a tank top in the cold cave. She looked at the man knowing the cold wasn't good for him, she didn't want to leave the cave for wood and snow until he was steady. But she knew he couldn't be steady if she didn't warm him up. She sighed looking at him, "I'm going to be right back okay? I'll get some more wood for the fire, if something happens try to yell or something. I'll stay as close to the cave as I can so that I'll hear you. Okay?" She said to him concern in her eyes, she didn't want him to die.

She looked at him, then at the cave she left the cave slowly. The cold air sending chills through her body, she knew there wasn't any wood in the cave. Her clothes still wet from his blood, she closed her eyes for a second trying to adjust to the extreme cold. Her arms had goosebumps all over them from the cold. She looked at the snow covered ground deciding to see if there was anything savagable for clothing where he was attacked. She ran trying to keep her body from getting froozen, she suddenly stepped on a weak part of the ground near where she found him. She slipped falling into the cold snow falling almost to the cliff, she managed to catch herself just in time.

She pulled herself up slowly being careful to not slip in the snow. She saw something in the snow near the now pink blood, she touched the submerged object pulling it out of the snow to reveal a knife. She wondered how the man couldn't defend himself against a vampire with it. She herself found vampires rather blood lusting insane little creatures. She picked it up and looked around trying to spot some kind of wood, she managed to spot some down in a ravine. But it was so deep into it, she sighed looking around again near the cave.

Her body slowly adjusting to the cold, her skin turning red from the frozen air. Her skin burned, she knew that if he didn't get fire he might die or get sick. It was starting to turn to night already, she wasn't gone from the cave for but about 10 minutes. She sighed trying to think of things to burn, all she saw was snow and rocks. The previous fire to sterilize had gone out leaving her woodless. She couldn't find any wood at all, she knew this would be bad if she didn't find anything to burn. The idea of frozen grass would've worked if it was dry and she had sticks to start the fire but she didn't.

Suddenly her eyes met with that of a small bear cub, she wasn't into killing animals. She refused to kill a bear to make a coat, her skin now turning bluish. She had been gone about 20 minutes now, she didn't know what to do. But she saw the bear running towards something, she had no other lead. She ran after it trudging in the snow, falling down. She was so cold, she soon saw a very small grove of trees, all of them small. She quickly broke off as many branches as she could handle, she was freezing cold. But the swordsman refused to baby herself, she filled up her arms to the fullest and headed back to the cave moving as quick as she could.

She was gone a total of 30 minutes, she hoped he was okay. She wouldn't have gone if it wasn't necessary to boil down the water and warm him up. But it was, she trudged back moving at full speed her body growing numb. She soon saw the outline of the cave, she felt weak, she wanted to sleep but she forced herself into the cave dropping the wood on the cold earth. She collasped it wasn't more than 30 seconds till she was up again rushing to his side checking for vital signs.

The man simply nodded when he was adressed, not understanding it all, but catching enough to be able to agree. But he probably would have trouble yelling in the state he was in, but didn't bother to try and voice his thoughts. They needed the fire or both would freeze and it wasn't a pleasant prospect.

The man simply waited, starting to become slightly anxious when the young woman didn't return after a while, he didn't havde any way of knowing exactly how much time had passed exactly. Slowly the man closed his eyes against his better judgement, drifting in a middle state in between wakefulness and sleep. But of course it could have been unconsciousness as well.

To an outsider, there wasn't much change, he looked as exhausted and as pale as he had been. He could have passed as dead if it hadn't been for the small rise and fall of his chest that could be dismissed at first. His head had rolled to the side, showing his face to one that would have been standing next to his stretched form but hiding it away from the entrance.

He was feeling a bit numb from the cold but he wasn't into hypothermia yet. He rested there, his soft breath not being heard that much but it was steadier. He was slightly better.

She fell to his side, finding he was alright she then realized he might be asleep. She shook his arm lightly, but enough to wake him. "Wake up?" She said panic growing in her voice, "Wake up!" She shivered, her lips a bluish color from the over exposure to the cold. She waited for him to wake, she didn't know if he would.

She shivered her clothes having frozen blood on them, she moved the fire wood, making a fire near him next to the basin like rock. She rubbed the sticks together till a spark formed. She shivered, she knew she needed to get fluids for the man, she exited the cave for a mere minute and appeared again with her arms filled with clean white snow. She put it in the basin-like rock near the fire, she shivered as her numb skin started to burn yet again.

She was so cold, she felt weak, her breathing slowed, her tiredness taking over as it grew pitch black outside of the cave. The firelight lighting the cave, Fia moved near the man watching him trying to force her body to stay awake. But all her energy had gone when she went outside in the cold air, her body had burned all she had for energy and her body was doing what it could to keep her alive. She checked his pulse just as her body decided to try and conserve energy, she fell to the floor beside him. Falling into immediate sleep, her breathing slowed, her heartrate slowing down into slumber. She slept beside him, her hand still on his wrist from checking his pulse. Her hand was cold like ice, as much as she tried she couldn't fight her body's tiredness as she slept.

The man didn't wake when he was shaken, but he had had little awareness of what surrounded him at that moment. He needed the rest, badly. She did as well, but he wasn't there to see her condition when she had come back. As it was, he wouldn't wake for a while, a few hours at a minimum. The heat from the fire warmed him up and it helped him slightly.

It probably warmed the chilled wannabe nurse as well though he didn't think of her in such terms. When he woke up, he was sore, his wounds ached and his troat was as dry as sand. He tried moving his head a bit, but hissed in pain when he even just though about it. He felt dizzy, very dizzy as well as nauseous. He moaned softly since he wasn't able to produce a louder sound.

He felt breathless and a tad confused. The fire was still going, although they would have to feed it soon. The ageless man felt weak and about to throw up, which wasn't a good combination. He tried to turn on his side, but he was rewarded with a sharp pain in his side and leg. He moaned and stilled, not wanting more pain at the moment.

The movement had awoken a strange burning pain in his chest, and he resolved not to move anymore. He was panting and his heart beat was fast, too fast for comfort. He tried to calm himself as getting his heart at such a beat wouldn't be good for one such as him who had suffered a cardiac arrest but a few hours before.

He closed his eyes again and tried to relax as much as possible, eliciting a small hiss of pain from him when the muscles pulled around his many wounds. It was good there was now plenty of firewood because they wouldn't have survived the night without it.

She layed beside him deep in sleep, her body slowly unthawing from the cold. She was exhausted, her body didn't budge from her spot next to him. She slept soundly until she heard a soft moan, she jumped back to reality. She had nothing to use as a cup besides her hands, she looked at him knowing he must've been dehydrated. She put some more wood in the fire ignoring the pain which she felt and the cold. She looked at him filling her hands with the luke warm water, she moved over to him. "Here it's some water." She said to him trying her best to be a good help even though she herself now wasn't at the pitch of health.

She herself had burning skin and several black and blues from falling and her ribs which then didn't hurt now ached as if she had been hit twenty times by a young vampire, from hitting the ground near the edge of the cliff. She took in a quick breath at the pain in her ribs, she waited for him to drink the water from her hands. Her own lips were dry and a bluish color, her body pale as she still wore only a tanktop and her other clothes which had finally been turned to dried blood. She looked a mess, her bandanna still in her hair but some long strands of white hair lay loose of the bandanna's hold.

She came over to him putting a finger to his lips, "Shh... It's okay, take it easy your not better yet. You don't want all that you went through to be for nothing do you?" She said kindness showing once from the tired worn nurse. She looked like she was ready to collaspe even though she had gotten some sleep, she was still a mere human with only martail arts and blade abilities. Her body was a mere human, she was still cold because of the air which had absorbed in her. She could've been better had she had a big fluffy warm blanket and a warm house. But there was nothing she could do about that.

She put her hand to his forehead checking for a tempature or signs of infection though she had done her best to prevent it from happening. She first needed to make sure he was okay before dealing with her own needs such as a drink seeing she could furfill her other needs because of the his need for the coat. She figured she should let him keep it, the fire didn't keep all the cold away and he was more important than her.

She watched him, her body would've been happy with 24 hours of sleep and peace. But she couldn't do that until he was all better, moving him would only reopen his wounds so she had to wait. She wondered how long they'd be stuck with eachother.

(Should I introduce a random character to help them? Some random overly clothed hermit?)

James looked tiredly at the tired nurse, He tried to smile but a wave of pain made it turned into a painfilled grimace.

"Here it's some water." he was told as cupped hands appeared in his vision.

The brown haired man tried to gulp down some of the water, but soon found himself not being able to drink more. He was feeling even more nauseous now that he had quenched his thirst.

"Shh... It's okay, take it easy your not better yet. You don't want all that you went through to be for nothing do you?" His savior said, speaking again.

He tried to shake his head a bit to indicate he indeed didn't want all that to be nothing, but stopped abruptly as his headache returned with a vengance. He groaned softly and felt a hand test the temperature of his forehead. He was a bit cold, but not enough for that to be of concern.

The nausea didn't go away with his stillness and he had an urge to get all the water he had indulged in out of his stomach and fast. His face paled and it was partly obvious what was happening now. If he had been better, he would have rolled on his side and got the nausea to leave him alone in the most primitive of ways, but he couldn't even move, let alone try and empty his stomach.

He tried to close his eyes and ignore the nausea, but he was as successful as he would have liked. He couldn't hide his discomfort any longer, but he could do nothing about it. He groaned, eyes still closed and tried turning away his head to be able to empty his offending stomach while the room didn't stop spinning in the most nauseating way.

She put her hand on his, "Don't try smiling, it makes you look scary." She said jokingly trying to cheer the poor fellow up. She looked at him knowing he'd be in need of fresh bandages and a few other minor things. She shivered lightly, she forced herself to her feet. She walked to the door of the cave and gathering clean snow she brought it to the basin-like rock again to provide a sterilizing system again.

She looked at him, her eyes studying his. "Your concussion seems to be gone, that's good. You can sleep now without worrying, you'll need a lot of rest." She looked at her torn shirt trying to see if there was enough of her shirt to make new bandages. She didn't want to touch her tanktop seeing that if she were to take off any further of her clothing she would die from the cold and feel naked.

She never once thought of herself as his savior, she thought of herself as someone who was doing her best to save a human's life. She looked at him waiting for the water to sterilize so she could clean and rebandage his wounds.

She smiled, "You don't have to try to comunicate with me, you went through something terrible that no one should go through. And at least I saw you before it was too late." She said to him trying to make him take it easy, if he could just stablize and remain stable she'd be happy. She didn't want him to end up dying after all she did to keep him alive.

She looked at him knowing what was wrong, but vomiting would reopen the wounds and Fia knew this. "I'm sorry, you can't vomit or else I'd have to redo the stich work on your wounds which aren't healed. You need to endure it for your own sake and for mine seeing I really don't feel well enough to carry you elsewhere or even try restiching you. So please try to endure." She said a pleading look in her eyes. She was so exhausted she didn't know if she could have a encore preformance of last night.

"Is there anything I can do?" She asked trying to figure out how to help him not be tortured so much. She wasn't superman or woman for that matter. She was only a girl trying to save a human's life.
