When he was given a shout out, Carmin couldn't help but blush, shifting awkwardly in his seat as he failed to properly take the compliment.

The embarrassment only worsened when Fe began singing, although it didn't stick around. Rather, it went away to some extent. Fe was good, really good. He supposed she was a sirin, and from everything she'd told him, she had to be good. But he still felt surprised by just how impressive she was.

The crowd certainly seemed to agree. His songs certainly didn't garner a negative reaction as he was afraid of, which was a relief. Even if he wasn't planning to admit it, it felt good. Fe appeared to be capable of handling a crowd too. It was honestly all pretty amazing. She had it all, Carmin realized. She could actually make it big.

When Fe was finished singing, she took a few minutes to talk with people at the tables, greeting and answering questions, even posing once or twice with anyone who wanted a picture with her as she slowly made her way over to where Carmin was sitting.

Once she had made her way back to his table, she sat down, still vibrating from the high she got when she had a good performance like tonight, and ordered herself a drink.

"So? Are you still indifferent? Do you still think you are only in it for the money?" she asked him with a smile.

Carmin looked at her, wide eyed at first, but quickly returning to a more common deadpan expression. "You're good. You're actually really good. It's easy to see you're really passionate when you're singing." He looked down.

"But no, I'm still only-" Why was he so insistent that he was only in it for the money? Was it that important to him that he didn't admit that he liked this, what they were doing, the song writing, the being a part of something.

He let out a conflicted "Um." then continued in a different direction, though his voice got quiet and a blush filled his face. "I'm not. I care, okay. You already know it, but I'm saying it. I care. Are you happy?"

Seeing how Carmin struggled with himself to admit the truth, Fe smiled at him very warmly and without any of the smugness that usually accompanied one of her smiles, when he did.

"Yes, I am happy, extremely," Fe said as she leaned over and gave Carmin a quick kiss on the cheek. "Thank you," she added quietly, cause she did mean it.

"Now, that I have you totally onboard the Fe Glaux express," she grinned widely, thanking the waitress as she put a drink in front of her.

"I can tell you about the very exciting and life-changing news - for both of us," here she glanced at Carmin. "Tomorrow afternoon my manager, Jericho, and will go with me, and I will be signing on the Shiloh, the Queen of Anti-Pop," Fe told Carmin excitedly, her face lighting up at the news she had been saving since Carmin came in.

If Carmin wasn't blushing before, he was once Fe kissed him on the cheek. He had no idea how to respond to stuff like that and ended up just sitting there looking awkward for a bit.

He only snapped out of it once Fe mentioned life changing news. At that point, he began listening intently, completely unsure of what to expect. When Fe was finished giving the news, Carmin had a difficult time processing it. He faced the side and gave it some thought, looking kind of conflicted.

There were a lot of goods to it, but also some concerns. Basically, Shiloh knew Madeline and if they ended up seeing him working for Fe, then word could get around and everyone could find out and it would be super embarrassing. But at the same time, this was a huge opportunity for Fe and she would most definitely be taking it regardless of what he did. No, it was even a huge opportunity for him. Fe doing well meant him doing well, assuming he didn't back out now. It was all so confusing.

Then he looked back at Fe. Her face was all lit up and excited. He thought a second more, before deciding. "That's... terrifying honestly... but it's also exciting. Congratulations Fe. That's amazing news." He gave an actual smile for once, even if it was short lived. He wasn't going to let fear control him. Not this time.
