Webb rubbed his (well, Azrael's) head as the pill began to sooth the aching and the voices of madness that followed from melding their minds together.

"Well, he almost never shows me anything 'willingly', and what he does share willingly is, indeed, done out of spite. In this case I basically melded my mind with his to briefly share the same thoughts. However, the deeper those thoughts are, or the more complex, the more strain is put on my mind to fathom what I am seeing." he explained.

"In my experience, Humanity has always sought better and more efficient ways to kill each other. Maybe that was the extent of the project, or maybe there really was some larger threat to combat. Maybe they didn't tell us so that we couldn't be sure it was for a selfish reason, or maybe so as not to demoralize us in the face of tougher odds ahead. Whatever the case, I suppose you will be happy to know that the facility was destroyed during a massive escape attempt by some of the creatures, I believe I am the only one to have survived." he stated, looking up from his book to address her.

It was then that Kaya noticed the time. It was actually getting somewhat late and Kaya slowly and quietly picked up her books and turned to Azreal and Webb and leaned forward and whispered to them "I've got to go, but why don't you two drop by my shop sometime later." She pulled over a convenient sticky note and pen out from the center of the table and wrote the address of her shop and a number...it was actually a nonsense number that actually connected to a device that allowed her to text and call mentally.

"Would love to see you two there." And with that she planted a kiss on the side of their 'head' and sauntered away like the cat that caught the canary. She liked those two but duty called back at the shop so unfortunately she couldn't stay and chat more. She turned her head and gave them a small smile and a friendly half wave as she checked out her books and portaled home.

"Oh, alright then, i'm sure we'd love t-" Webb began, before he felt Kaya kiss his cheek and he froze up a little. It wasn't unwelcome, just, unexpected. He had been with women before, but they were always at parties or were one night stands, but that kiss was something more, personal than before. When he snapped himself out of it, he looked back to see her saunter away while he put a hand on the spot she had kissed him.
"....Love to." He waved back at her and smiled as well, even though she couldn't see it. When she was gone, he turned back to his reading, though now he was a little more distracted in thought.
