Noah was sprawled on one of the love seats in the lounge, head propped up with two throw pillows and too-long legs spilling off the other end, easily touching the floor. A basic black notebook had been opened, folded over on his lap, and he occasionally scrawled something down in it. After twenty minutes, the page was covered with more then a few of the conversations going around him, along with his evaluations of the speakers, and the cap of his pen was wrinkled and misshapen where he had absentmindedly chewed it.

Eavesdropping on a bunch of teenagers wasn't exactly high on his list of exciting things to do, admittedly. But seeing as it was 27 degrees outside and windy, he couldn't exactly go out for a romp in the forest or something, and he still hadn't signed up for any classes. So he was stuck inside, feeling like an idiot in a grey sweater and matching pants, spying on his fellow students.

He tapped the pen on the corner of the page, leaving behind tiny dots of ink that spotted around the word 'easy' he had written to describe some blonde sitting in a crowd of friends. Apparently, there was a dance going on of some sort. That seemed to be all anyone was talking about, at least. All the girls were either giggling about how someone had asked them, or complaining about how their one true love had asked someone else, and all the boys were pretending they didn't give half a crap about some stupid dance.

He winked at a girl looking at him like a hungry lion looks at prey, grinning at the thought of the already desperate state of some of the students. The dance was what, two weeks away? He shrugged at his own question, turning the page of his notebook and scribbling down a few lines describing her.

Stella noticed, a boy sprawled on the love seat in the lounge, she was horribly bored and didn't want to talk about the dance... So she walked over to him...
"Hi, I'm Stella, is it okay if I sit next to you?"...

Noah glanced up, raised an eyebrow, and wrote 'Stella' over 'bouncy brunette #2'. He flipped both legs off the end of the couch and sat upright, wincing almost unnoticeably at the impact of his bad leg on the floor. "Sure. As long as you don't A, comment on what i'm writing in my notebook - i've had quite enough of that -" He paused for a moment, eyes shifting over to 'loud blonde' in the corner, who had flounced up to him ten minutes ago and demanded to know why he kept looking over at her and writing in his notebook. He had politely shown her her entry, which was far from flattering, and she had gotten mad and walked off in a huff. It was funny, but he wasn't looking for a repeat. "or B, talk about the dance, unless it is to complain about how everyone else is talking about the dance, and then only if you are not simply complaining because you have not yet been invited."He grabbed his cane from the now unoccupied side of the couch, flipping it over to rest by his feet so she wouldn't sit on it. "Noah Silvlia. Pleasure." He smiled, holding out a hand for her to shake.

Stella shook his hand happily and sat down, "A writer huh? ^_^ I don't mind not knowing, I'm personally aren't the best at writing... I start off great, but lose the excitment and don't finish.... So what do you think of Starlight?"....

Noah looked up from his notebook again, slightly startled at the sound of her voice. "Huh? Yeah, i write. I'm not writing now, though. It's more.. Recording." He flashed his teeth in a quick smile, happy that she was content with not knowing.

"The Academy itself, or the residents? Personally, i haven't seen enough of either to really answer." He paused, looked around, and leaned closer to Stella as if he was about to tell a secret. "Ya'll are big fans of drama, though, aren't you?" He wrinkled his nose, turning back to his book and flipping the page. Real writing was more fun then eavesdropping anyways.

After a few minutes of boring scribbles, none of which he could think of any way to continue, he gave up and glanced up at Stella again. "So if you don't write, what do you like to do?

Stella, answered, Noah's first question, "Well I'm not a big fan of drama, I'm more for regular living, I mean why put a fake thing that would never happen down? And second I love writing, it's so fun, but I can never finish what I start, I have tons of idea's that I never followed thru because I think I over did it or didn't tell enough, so I put it down and maybe never get back to it".....

"Same here." Noah sighed, fiddling with his pen. "Don't have enough of an attention span for anything more then short stories and the like.. But, you write as much as i do, once in a millennia you get something you can finish." He laughed quietly, waving a hand at the room. "Whatcha doin' here, anyway?"

"Bored, no one is talking about anything worth while.... I wish it wasn't cold outside I would go and practice my powers or go to the forbidden, I heard it was really interesting"...

Noah grinned, putting his feet up on the coffee table. "The forbidden area? Wouldn't that happen to be.. Oh, i don't know. Forbidden? For good reason, or so i heard." He shrugged, glancing over at the girl jokingly. "But i've only been here a few days, ya? What do i know?"

"Well like that matters, it's unsafe everywhere.... So why go without seeing something interesting.".....
