The stars shone like diamonds against blue velvet. Jamie lay on his back, watching them silently. After a moment he started humming tunelessly, each note popping into his head, then coming out.

It was awfully peaceful. Jamie made a mental note to come up more often, maybe even bring Susan one night. She'd like the quietness.

Coming up behind Jamie, Jazz listened to what he was humming before she played those notes back, playing a guitar.

Before Jamie even saw the person, he knew it was Jasmine. Actually, it was kind of obvious by the music. Grinning, he sat up and turned. "Hullo!" He said brightly.

"Just watching the stars. What brings you up here?" Jamie asked his friend. He leaned back in a relaxed manner and went back to watching the stars, though he was paying attention to Jasmine's reply.

Jasmine shrugged. "The nice weather." She really had no real answer for why she was up there. Only that she felt a pull to go up there. And now she was glad she had.

"It is nice, no?" The pirate replied. "How have you been, Jasmine?" He asked her.

Jamie studied her for a moment. "You're lying." He said finally. "What's the matter?"

Jasmine frowned. "Nothing's the matter," she said, again lying, "Why would you think something's the matter?"
