Every spring, when the lilacs bloom, the air is filled with the fragrance of the flowers and the sound of music. You can find food stands lining the streets, entertainers walking the sidewalks, and musicians performing on stage.
Runners can participate in the Bloomsday Run, taking place the Friday morning when the concert is being set up. All money raised through this event goes toward feature community-wide events such as the bonfire, the lilac concert, etc.
The Lilac Music Festival is in full swing on the Manta Carlos Islands, and it's time for the annual parade! The streets are closed off to traffic and are instead lined with food vendors, artists, and entertainers, while bands play at every intersection. The air is filled with the sound of music and the delicious smell of freshly-cooked foods of every flavor and variety imaginable, along with the sweet scent of Lilacs. Some of the local businesses are offering free snacks or entertainment to encourage visitors, too!
