Deep in the heart of downtown Manta Carlos City, the residents or the island are celebrating the blossoming of the local lilac flowers. Every spring, when the lilacs bloom, the air is filled with the fragrance of the flowers and the sound of music. You can find food stands lining up the streets, entertainers walking the sidewalks, musicians performing on stage, and runners participating in the Bloomsday Run.
The Lilac Music Festival is in full-swing on the Manta Carlos Islands and it's time for the annual parade! The streets are closed off to traffic and are instead lined with food vendors, artists, and entertainers, while bands play at every intersection. The air is filled with the sound of music and the delicious smell of freshly-cooked foods of every flavor and variety imaginable, along with the sweet scent of Lilacs. Some of the local businesses are offering free snacks or entertainment to encourage visitors, too!
