Ah, Christmas, the time for cheer and gift-giving.
December was honestly June's favorite month mainly because it was such a cheerful holiday, next on the list was because it was his birth month. There wasn't really anything else he could think of but he loved every way he could celebrate it. Just like when the city announced a Secret Santa event, June just knew he had to put his name in that list. It was a perfect change to meet new people.
Although, June wasn't quite sure when he found he was paired up with a little girl. He had no problems about it other than he figured children were so much harder to please. He'd thought of toys and such but sometimes girls in their early teens are the kind who grow up quick. And he wasn't quite sure about this one. She had peculiar notes in her card that made decision making harder for June.
It was December 20th, the set date for the meet-up. June was sitting on the bench, a wrapped gift sitting on his lap. While he was looking around the shops in town, he found a very cute porcelain lamp; when it was lit up, it made a dark room look like a starry sky. He found the idea very endearing and thought it would be the perfect gift. Right next to him was his Plan A, wrapped in the same gift paper: a star book with star maps and a necklace with a pendant that resembled an astrolabe.
June hummed, a little satisfied with his decision, but he figured he could have just settled with one or the other.
