Ruby just shook his head at the mention of the Mutual transformation thing. It was very tempting but he would just let his body naturally adapt.

"Oh...uh. Right." He said in response to Umiko. He was trying to re-gather his thoughts and focus on keeping his connection up with Umiko.

"I...hm." He wasn't sure on what he was going to say anymore. Ruby just glanced over to Umiko's drink and gestured to that. He decided on to just talk about that since he wasn't sure on where to even go from here. Usually he wouldn't have any problem with holding a conversation but the dizzy spells were making it very hard for him to focus. He was kinda glad he wasn't in an interview during all this. That would be terrible.
"What are you drinking? It is called Sake right?"

"Oh, yeah, it's saké. And a moderately weak brew at that. I can handle strong brews, but don't want to have a hangover.", Umiko didn't say, his mind was on his apprentice scolding him for this one time he came home late, face extremely flushed despite his coherent talk, and in the morning after he had a massive hangover.

"Ah. Hmm. So I assume this drink originates from Earth?" Ruby eyed the drink curiously. They wanted to try some but that was a bad idea. He probably shouldn't drink anything alcoholic while his body was still adapting to this place. It was tempting, but he wasn't an idiot and is not about taking that risk.

Getting nauseous and vomiting in public is just embarrassing and unflattering. Ruby just chuckled at Umiko's thoughts and continued smiling.

"So you are just out having a drink all by your lonesome? I hope I'm not keeping you away from anyone."

"That it does. Saké isn't always alcoholic, there are variations that have such low alcohol concentration or none at all, such as the sweet and children-friendly Amazake, which is not alcoholic. Personally I prefer the strong variations, over the weaker or non-alcoholic, except when it comes to cooking, where I turn the favors around.", Umiko finished off the bottle and placed it on the table.

"Nah, it's alright. Toh is a grown fox, he has probably studied the manuscripts and headed to sleep at this hour. I hope to one day have more apprentices like him, with a passion for using my master's spells for good, following the peaceful ways."

It was getting about time for Ruby to head out an continue on. He couldn't keep lazing about and relaxing when he needed to look for a job. He was also feeling a lot better now and didn't keep waiting around until he felt like shit again.

Ruby smiled and just let Umiko talk.
"Thank you for the explanation. Maybe one day I can try out saké."

Ruby floated up out his seat and then over to Umiko's side and smirked. "And maybe you can be there when I do or maybe not." He chuckled.

"I need to get going now Umiko but maybe we can...see each other again?" Ruby said as he poked his fingers together. You know exactly what I mean. "I also would like to meet this student of yours. He sounds like a fun one." He giggled.

While Ruby was talking, a business card belonging to the bar came floating on over to them. Ruby grabbed the card out the air and then flipped it over to reveal his number already written on the back. Telekenis makes life so much easier.
He smiled at Umiko then got really close up to him as just slid then card into Umiko's pocket.

"Our conversation was fun and your mind is lovely. I just want to eat it up." He smiled and then laughed. Pfft. He totally doesn't eat brains. Right? Ruby then floated back and turned away. He then waved and started heading into the direction he was originally heading. His tail swaying back and forth seductively.

Hopefully he still had time to make that interview. Ugh.

"Oh, right, I have a Dojo in the Residential Area. It's among my more recent memories, you can easily find it.", what a way for Umiko to give his address... But then again, he was comfortable with Ruby peeking into his mind, so why not? "So, until then, best of luck in your hunt.", and so Umiko saw Ruby off... Silently wondering if it is fine to leave him go on his own like that.
