"That I am, " Dosan laughed warmly, his voice rich, "My father is the Hindu god of Creation actually, sort of like what the Christians refer to as God, or the Egyptian deity, Amon-Ra," he explained sitting back comfortably in his chair.

"Shellfish is nice," Dosan nodded in agreement, his eyes on her face, watching her intently as she talked. Finding her animatedness endearing, how she moved through emotions, she reminded him in a way of Snowflower, one of his father's youngest wives.

When Silje held out her hand for him to feel, Dosan glanced down at it and just smiled as he reached out and lightly took it in his, feeling how cool she felt. He then ran his thumb softly across the skin on the back oh her hand a few times as he held her gaze for a moment before he gently released her hand.

"You know ... There is a saying about cold hands warm hearts," he teased Silje as he picked up a wine list on the table and quickly scanned it to see if they still carried the wine he was thinking about.

"How about a Reisling?" he suggested to Silje as he glanced over at her, thinking the choice might suit her well, it was a light wine, not very strong in taste, perfect for just sipping.

Silje's eyes widened more than just a little as Dosan revealed just how divine his heritage was after all, and she couldn't help but smile at how open and comfortable he was about it. "My...well, I can't say I was expecting to meet a man of such an imposing caliber tonight...especially given how nice the context of our meeting feels so far."

Silje smiled warmly back at him at his agreement about the dish, noting that he seemed to be studying her face and doing much the same. Something about him was just oddly engaging; he had her undivided attention in this moment and it almost seemed like the rest of the bar had melted into the background. Her smile did not falter when he took her hand in his and ran his thumb over it, quite enjoying the chaste but decidedly romantic gesture and his comment that followed.

"Ah...mm, a Reisling? Well..." She looked into his eyes, the same that had captured her attention before he came over, and eventually nodded. "If you think that it is a good choice, then I will trust your judgement~"

"Me? Imposing?!" Dosan grinned then at Silje, thinking she was unbelievably cute, "I am probably the least imposing demigod on the island. Heck, probably in my family and all of Hindu creation," he informed her jokingly. It wasn't quite the truth, but as gods and tempers went, he was nowhere near other gods in his family. He was fairly even-tempered and laidback unless provoked.

Flashing her a smile when she told him she was fine with a Reisling, and that she trusted his judgment. "It's a light, crisp and slightly delicate wine, perfect for a snow elf," Dosan added warmly as he called the waiter over, consulted a bit with him and chose a Reisling from Germany, ordering a glass for her and one for himself.

"I thought I'd join you if you don't mind?," he told her after the waiter had taken his wine order and her food order.

Silje found herself giggling along with Dosan, his laughter and smile oddly infectious, and certainly charming. "Well, it is relieving to hear that you're on the easygoing side. I'd hate to have, oh, I don't know, picked the wrong wine and brought down your divine wrath~" She smirked at that, clearly just teasing, and nodded her approval at his description of a wine, finding his cadence and manner of speaking captivating.

When they received their drinks and her food, Silje brought the glass to her nose and gently inhaled, swirling it around a little and smiling. "Well, Dosan...I think your decision was a good one. This smells lovely." Her expression of mirth was genuine and warm, despite the coolness of her skin as she now took his hand softly in hers and gave a gentle squeeze. "I would very much like if you stayed here with me, yes..."

Dosan glanced down when Silje took his hand, clearly surprised, but pleasantly so by her openness and quiet forward nature. She was truly quite different to a lot of young women, girls, he had ever met before. Smiling at this Dosan gave her hand a gentle squeeze back before he tried the wine to see whether or not it was as good as Silje said it was.

"Tell me something about yourself, Silje..." Dosan said meeting her gaze with a warm smile, still holding her hand as he ran his thumb over her knuckles softly, enjoying the feel of her soft, slightly cooler skin, in his.

By this point, Silje usually would have moved her hand away, especially given Dosan was someone she had just met, but something about the contact just felt comfortable and right. She sipped at her wine and gave a bright smile at the taste before setting her glass down and tilting her head at him.

The extra little emphasis he put on her name got a giggle out of her, and she fluttered her lashes at him before answering and resting her chin on her other hand. "Mm...something about me? Well, the basics, I suppose. I'm from Norway originally, an elf of Høytfjell. I was training to be a ranger there for some time, and I felt that many of those skills would be useful here, which is why I entered the police academy~"

Taking a sip of his wine, Dosan listened attentively, enjoying the sound of her voice while letting his gaze move slowly over her face taking in her in, studying her delicate elven features as she talked, returning upwards to meet her gaze.

"Norway is a lovely country. I am a big fan of the fjords ... so majestic, nature is an amazing thing," he said as he looked down at her hand for a second, then up at her, "Why did you want to be a ranger? Any special reason?" he asked interested in knowing more about her.

Dosan was by no means the only one of the two studying the other's face. Silje had been observing him the entire time, even before he came over, and she had to admit she was a bit enchanted. He was very handsome, absolutely to her tastes. She particularly found herself captured by his eyes, losing herself in them for a moment and taking a brief pause to register his question after he posed it.

"Hmm, sorry, what? Oh, ahh...my apologies. I suppose I was a bit distracted by you, but...in a very good way." She gave him a light, pleasant smile, taking another, slower sip of her wine and unintentionally playfully licking a few stray beads of it from her lower lip afterwards. "Mm, to answer your question, it is family tradition to take up the mantle of ranger. My mother held that responsibility, as well as her mother, and hers before that, going on and on for many more years than I can reasonably count. It certainly helps that I personally found it very exciting, and an important duty to fulfill."
