Life is highly overrated...

Carrigan, simetransparent and insubstantial in the noonday sun, floated to the cliff's edge. She looked down, taking in the sight of the rocks far below. She silently wished she could plummet to her death upon that merciless slab of stone. Oh the joy, the relief! But she could not. She was already dead, she couldn't die again. Standing upon the brink of a steep descent, Carrigan closed her eyes. She blocked out the world completely, not even seeing the person nearing the summit. Not that they would see her, a shining silver distortion almost invisible in the sunlight...

Judas strolled towards the cliff, cane in hand, his eyes tired as his body stumbled forward, speaking frankly to himself, not aware anyone else was in the area.
"It would be splendid...to end all this fatigue...the Curse...the Pain...the drain it brings to my body...Just end it all and go to sleep forever...I doubt there is a God, but who cares...Even nothingness would be splendid! To simply be able to sleep forever would be paradise! I haven't much of my soul left...Why not?"
He dropped his cane, smiling and laughing at the sky.
"God help my weary soul!"
And with that he strolled over, fully intending to leap off the cliff, well, that is until he bumped into...nothing.
"What the?!"

Carrigan felt someone bump into her. She turned around, surprised that they hadn't walked straight through her. The action sent silver ripples through the air, and revealed that she was standing there. Semitransparent, and insubstantial. Looking at the person, she recognised someone seeking death.
"Hello." Her voice was hollow, as if coming from a great distance. "Am I right in thinking that your intention was to kill yourself?" She spoke bluntly, though there was no emotion in her voice. She had no reason to fear anybody anymore.

Judas stared directly at the thing he knew he had bumped into, although he could barely see it.
"Hah! Who are you? The Angel of Death? Mind your own business, my dear. Perhaps I was seeking death, for a moment. But no longer. I'd rather give it than seek it for myself. That is a truer purpose I will seek out in the later days, I know."

Carrigan sighed. People still threatened her. "No, I am not the agel of death. I am dead. So don't bother trying to intimidate me, it's not like you can hurt me. And take it from me, death is no fun." After all this time, well not really that long, Carrigan would almost be thankful to feel anything. She half hoped he would punch her, or something.

Judas smiled.
"I didn't mean you in particular...So you're dead already? How amusing...Some sort of unholy creature, I suppose...Definitely not a zombie. What a gift to science you would be...The key to reanimating the dead?"

Carrigan crossed her arms. She did not like being called unholy.
"Just because I'm dead," she said, her hollow and faraway voice sounding moe than a little cross and upset, "That's no reason to call me unholy. I am a ghost. The imprint of a departed soul. I chose to remain on earth, because I did not feel it was my time to die. But death is ovverrated, life is overrated, everything stinks."

Judas smirked.
"Well, I'll agree with that last statement...But I'm sure you'd still be considered unholy just for not going with the norm and staying on this wretched ball...Why don't you ascend to bloody heaven or nothingness already?"

"I dunno...I guess I just kinds want to take care of my family. You know, but now I can't figure out how to get away from here. I guess I just have unfinished buisness." Carrigan stepped backwards, just a reflexinve thing. But instead of falling off the cliff, she simply hovered in midair.

Judas seemed not to blink from her hovering, instead smirking and chuckling.
"Couldn't you just try to die again? Seems like a wasteful thing to die and come back again to this meaningless place. How'd you die in the first place?"
