Since his death, social conventions for Lucas had easily been something he was lacking. This had left him with a strange sort of predicament. Since coming to the island, he hadn't really connected without anyone due to his embittered nature. While the first he had seemed to do so, a fellow ghost like himself. Had left him only with her name, and the fact she was majoring in art for Lucas to try and stay in touch. Not the greatest combination of information to simply have alone. Even so seeing as Amelia, had been the first person he had been somewhat polite with in some time. Trying to find her in hopes of continuing down the path of friendship with another like him appealed to Lucas.
It was for those reasons, that Lucas gently floated through the hallways of the arts building. Having slipped from out of his previous lesson early, in hopes to beating the bell. He had not though, and the hallways and classrooms had mostly emptied out for the end of the day. A few people still lingering. Most in conversations, as they packed away. Looking around, he didn't see who he had hoped to bump into. However socially awkward as he was, Lucas couldn't bring himself to approach any of the chatting groups.
Eventually though, Lucas spotted someone who was unlike other chatting away. Seemed to be still at work. He wondered if they had simply not finished what they were meant to in the class, were taking the chance to work on any class assignments, or that a simply love of their craft had caused them to continue. Drifting closer from behind, he noticed the radiant hair they had. Wondering how exactly colour could blend tones in that way with someone hair but being behind them didn't notice much else.
Stopping a few feet behind them. Lucas cleared his throat...or at least he imitated such a sound as best as he was able seeing as he had no actual throat to clear to give the sound a real feel to. He knew how silent he could be drifting along, and didn't want to shock whoever they were. So used the sound to give away his presence before speaking. "Excuse me?" He said in polite but awkward tone of voice. While approaching someone on their own to talk to them was easier then trying to slip into one of the conversing groups. He still was quite rusty from the lack of social interaction of the last few years.
